I'm trying to create an image of my versions, perhaps we can have our "database" so we can try what works or not, but I have to confess I'm outdated on the storage and software part of it.
I would be interested to know if you have managed to enable any of the updates fr the MY21 models on a MY20 car, specifically any of the following:
1) Comfort Pack - The unlock on approach if this is an option to enable and see if this then works on a MY20 car. I am hoping that it would and uses existing sensors within the car
2) Ambient Lighting - If you can enable something to see the multi color option on the menu and if this has an impact in the car. I have seen the current MY20 cars with the ambient lights are white LEDs, I don't know if these are just standard white leds or RGB LEDs that just only receive a white signal from the PCM
3) Tyre Pressure on Sport Chrono - A long shot as I guess the sport chrono has a different screen on the MY21 cars, but interesting to see if it has an impact
Nay for all of it.
Tried 1 and 3, failed, doesn't mean it's impossible, I couldn't get it to work.
The internal light system hardware is different. It even showed up in the menu for a couple of seconds then went away.

Thanks for the quick reply. It’s a shame. I tried to look at the leds on online sites and it shows that they are the same, so guess it’s not or something else is different.
thanks for your support.
The list of vendors with links I posted is fairly recent, but we just tuned the 2021 corner so the thing to do is contact the vendors and make sure the system works with current 2021 date. One rennlist member got burned, I believe the vendor was vxdas
In any case, prices seem to have gone down a bit on some vendors. Still to be determined at least by me is if all systems, depending on software version, provide all modes as the real one does-

Asking VXDAS is useless. I wasn't burned (haven't bought yet), but I tried asking about the versions and they clearly have no idea (I think it's a language and knowledge barrier).
Using the Launch x431, most of the changes were discovered and covered under the Cayenne coding umbrella.
I'd have to check, but from memory some of the changes I made were: overtaking indicator from 3 to 5, disabling driver's side seat belt warning, disabling the hatch warning, enabling rear tail lights with DRL (please note that in Launch you need to search for DAYLIGHT DRIVING LIGHTS and not daytime running lights under BCM front electronics), those are the ones I remember off the top of my head for the wife's 2020 Macan S. Let me know what particularly you're interested in.

1) Turning off the seat belt chime (passenger as well, not just driver's side) would be great.
2) I don't suppose you can program it to start up in individual mode, can you?
3) Disabling the restrictions on keyboard address entry so the passenger can use the nav system would be good.
4) I'd like ACC to resume automatically after much longer standstill periods. By default you have to hit the gas yourself if traffic stops for more than 3 to 5 seconds. I can see why they do that -- in case you forget you enabled it -- but because it gives you no indication of whether or not you've been standing still for too long, you have to guess. Very annoying when you think it will take off but it doesn't. I'd be surprised if that period isn't configurable somewhere.
5) If I turn off the hatch warning, I will get hit in the head eventually, so I'd better leave that one alone...

You will need to peruse the Cayenne Coding file as it seems it's the major repository for specific things you want. From what I remember for the belt warning on the Macan:
System Selection->Instrument cluster->Code/Brush Hiding->Brush Hidden Modified-> Search for coding item (enter "Acoustic Belt Warning (Not USA or Canada)" -> Change to Not Active-> Write Code. If you want to disable all, you'll need to do do the same for the passenger seat belt as well.
Since it's the wife's car I didn't look to change the start up mode. But will have to on the 992 as I don't want *** active.
The hatch warnings need to be disabled in various parameters. For the rest you'll have to look up what exactly you want and experiment. ALWAYS write down the intial code prior to modification. HTH and let us know if you get the seat belt to work.
