The shift lights still deceive me. I need to dig deeper on the driving modes as I think there should be some info there.

SO my PIWIS III 39.9 arrived. DON'T BOTHER. You can change hardly anything.
The older versions are better. It also ships with 38.5, which allows for more functional coding.

Which vendor did you get it from? Does it work with today'd date or does it need to be set to 2020?

I think I can make it work on the C4S. I found a couple of entrances for race mode (PCM entrance), but nothing happened, likely needing more modules.

When all was lost...
See the pics. Change the default menu to reduced. It activated the race and track options with the steering ****, not on the main display. The main display follows this: (steering wheel **** - main display)

Normal-Normal
Sport-sport
Track-Sport Plus
Race- Individual.

Wet mode only on the display.

Will drive and see what happens. I suspect it's all a GT3 gimmick.

So close John! I’d buy that tool in a heartbeat if it allowed us to add the track screen.

It's possible that it can be added to the pcm screen, but it's a rename only, functions are the same.
Sport response just shifts to "race - sport plus" for 25s (I changed from 20).
On the GT3 you can combine TC and ESC with the drive modes. More digging required...

Haven’t read the whole thread, but is there a way to code out the passenger seat belt warning? In the 992 its way to sensitive. I had a 4 pack of tall boys sitting on the seat and it triggered the sensor.

Yes, although it may not be advisable in the United States of Liability.

I turned off the airbag on/off warning in the 992, as it won't disappear unless you click on the arrow at the steering wheel.

Depending on the version, PIWIS coding capabilities are extensive.

Kufatec.de has a dongle that disables the seat belts.
Its very easy to use and is about 50€ + shipping
