Nope, not on the other side...they tap the accessories wire before it goes into the driver's side footwell fusebox. Given that they're currently working on this baby I'm comfortable they know what they're doing.

No, didn't go with ceramic this go 'round mainly because the pacific northwest glare I had in my Cayenne – which probably ruined it for me. Johnson Film Renegade.

Installed a 2 channel dash cam + external battery. 1080p didn't see a need for the 4k.

Thinkware F800 Pro -- Its great, just the right amount of functionality without spending extra money for features I'm sure 98% of people will never use.

Yes, hardwired the Neolink into the passenger fuse box (tan section) and put the battery under the driver seat.

How difficult was it to run the wire under the carpet from the passenger fuse box to under the driver's seat?

Wonder why dash cam is not an option on Porsche or any other cars sold in America... Certainly not a technical reason...

Thought about it for a minute, and nah, I don't want everyone to have a stupid dashcam on their every car to record every event ever happened every second everywhere.

My 2020 BMW M8C Gran Coupe came with a factory installed dash cam, so not sure about the legality issue.

I ran the cable across the top of the foot well. It's pretty easy, a lot easier if you have a wire snake.

Nice looking at one right now for my daily driver (Audi) and depending on how easy install and functionality and use may add on for my 992 when it comes. What swayed you on this one vs Backvue DR900 or 750s and others if you don't mind asking? Also can you share pic of rear camera mount please. Trying to get an idea of how large these things are also...thanks. Did you do your own install BTW?
