ordered Escort Redline 360c, Blendmount and Wiretap
I was going to order a redline 360c and will likely get a Uniden R7. Not sure where you got the Redline but everywhere I looked it is unavailable. Are you powering the redline from the mirror or running it down to the footwell.

ordered direct from escort. Sign up for the notification of stock and order immediately. I plan to use the mirror power.
thanks. Can you piggyback a blackvue off the mirror or does that need to run down the footwell, especially for parking cam?
Escort makes a Dashcam called the M2 that can piggyback off the Escort Redline 360C since it has the ability to pass through power from the mirror tap connection. The only problem with this setup is you can't use it when the car is shutoff in a parking mode, without fear of running your battery down. It is also a forward facing dashcam setup only.
The Blackvue Dashcams need to be hardwired and work best with an external battery. Setup this way you will have a parking mode that can operate for many hours and never drain your car battery.

How big is the external battery and where do you put it? I was thinking of tapping into the fuse panel as I've seen here for the 2channel. I don't expect I'll be using it in Parking mode all that often or for long durations.

If you don't want an external battery, but still would like to retain parking mode, you can use a device called Power Magic Pro. It allows you to use the cars battery down to a specified voltage setting, then it turns off the camera. I have done this setup in the past and it works fine, but my concern with the 992 is how many ancillary systems seem to run through the PCM. Many posters have complained about dead batteries from something as simple as not locking their car or having the key fob to close when parked at the house.
The external battery would negate any of those concerns. Here is a listing of different "Battery Packs." I believe most just use some Velcro on the bottom and attach it to the carpet under one of the seats, but it can be mounted just about any where.
I myself haven't decided if I'm going to install a dashcam on this car. I like the concept of the add on Escort M2 dashcam, but it isn't useful when someone backs into your car in a parking lot or worse vandalizes it. With a real parking mode engaged you will have a video evidence of the incident. My main hang up right now on installing the Blackvue is really nothing more than not wanting to deal with the hassle of wiring it up and possibly damaging part of the interior while doing so. Just my $.02.
Just grabbed the 992 Turbo and definitely looking for some stuff already. PPF only in a few weeks as my installer is booked till before Thanksgiving. Have a Uniden R7 in my other car, might just run the tap and share one between both since I can't drive both at the same time anyway haha. Radiator screen is a must, that darn hole is just asking for it! Looking at ZunSport 992 with the Sport Design but it looks totally different from my 992 Turbo Sport Design, what to do, what to do. I emailed them but might just bite the bullet and go to Home Depot until Rennline makes something if Zunsport's really looks that non-OEM. Feeling kind of weird joining this forum after being a heavy user of places like CivicForum, DriveAccord, AcuraZine, Audizine, Audiworld, and now RennList. I hate the fact you all ordered clear markers because now I'll never stop staring at my yellow ones!
Waiting for a service app't too because I had a spoiler error, and condensation on the headlight lenses right out the dealer after it hit Davisville - a week before. Hopefully, the spoiler error doesn't require a whole disassembly but sure reads like it on this forum. I think they built it so fast they never even allowed time for the darn OE butyl glue sealant to cure. Big whoop.....! Thanks for all the ideas, ZuffenGang!

I must be one of the rare ones I am quite happy with my orange markers.
