Also sorry to hear. This is the first official postponement I have heard of. Perhaps there have been others, but sounds like there will be others for sure. Did you have a CP8 date in TYD? Have your TYD dates changed?

ETA- I see you are in the UK. No TYD?

Hi GoBlue

Not sure what a TYD is, I did the final spec & signed the order forms down at my local OPC in Feb to lock in the specification, & on the My Porsche app I'm currently at stage 3 'Nearing start of production', & was told to expect the car 'around April' but they were pretty vague about exact delivery times on my current Targa last year!

Had my invite to Silverstone for the track day through last year when I placed the order.

Excuse my lack of knowledge but what is a TYD?

TYD=Track Your Dream

It's what shows you which status your car is in.

Ah right, doesn't say Track your Dream on it, & cant see a 'CP8' number anywhere on the app, entered stage 3 on Feb 8th if that means anything?

Probably different app to the US version?

Yes, different app version. Here is my US version. When I click on Discover current phase, the app launches into Track Your Dream which is 14 steps with expected completion dates for each step. The page below and TYD are not in sync - the screen below says I am now “scheduled for production” but TYD and the dealer PVMS (official tracking system which is a 3rd system which also does not sync exactly) shows I am already v260 which is in production. My CP 8.0 date in TYD and PVMS is this Friday 3/11.

Again, sorry to hear about your delay

Yeah very different apps it appears, yours is much more detailed.

Ah well I'm sure it will come sooner or later, loving my current 992 Targa so life is sweet, not so for the poor souls in Ukraine.

Thanks for the info 👍

See below-

Unfortunately we are having to call a number of customers as we have a factory in Ukraine that supply the wiring looms for a lot of our vehicles and with what's going on they have had to shut the factory. With this happening there are certain number of cars that are not going to be built which includes your Targa. I would imagine that Porsche are going to find an alternative supply.
I didn't realize Porsche's production supply line was so extensive. I'm just beginning to think of our fellow Porsche enthusiasts in Russia, let alone Ukraine. One mad megalomaniac is killing one hell of a lot of innocent people, and a small minority around Putin is threatening survival of our species. Germany seems to be taking most of the very appropriate steps that will restore sanity via economic pressures. So many good innocent people sacrificed to madness and megalomania. Will we ever learn?

The stops all look to be pretty quick. 3/26 is only a couple weeks away. Where I live I wouldn't drive my car until we have a few rainy days that clear the salt anyway.

Update!

Pretty standard OPC vaugenss!

Your Targa was scheduled to be built this month and finished in production on the 28th, but due to closure of the factory they have stopped production of most of the vehicles that were due to be built this month.
We are hoping that it is just going to be pushed back a month but I have nothing to actually say that for certain as of yet.

Anyone know what time zone these are listed in. Meaning the times of arrival and departure are those local times of the port the ship is at? Seems were are already behind schedule on departure from Antwerp.

I feel better that I am not the only one monitoring this vessel. 😜 Its essentially UK time I believe which is +5 from EST.
