Can anyone help me on the durability/dye transfer issues of the Chalk/crayon interior? Especially people who had the car for 1+ years.

I am an obsessed person with taking care of my cars but a lot of people are advising me not to do it as it will change colour over time as appose to darker interiors.

I just think its beautiful and gives the car a very spacious feel i side. Also it goes perfectly with my GB exterior choice.

Having had Silverstone leather in my two most recent M4’s (…a 2015 and a 2017), I can tell you upkeep is not hard. Use a soft/medium bristle brush and baby hand soap (pH balanced) to scrub/clean the leather surface. Wipe clean with a damp microfiber towel. The baby hand soap does not damage the analine. My interior(s) still looked new when I got rid of them.

This is my 2015 Yas Marina Blue M4’s interior after about two years of daily driving:

This is my 2017 Individual Nardo Gray M4’s interior after 3 1/2 years of driving; I sold it after 4 years of ownership. The new owner purchased her last May and that’s when I decided to order the 992. As you can see, a little maintenance goes a long way:

My god what a beautiful interior and the manual just adds to it.

Thank you! I admittedly wear driving gloves to keep the leather and alcantara surfaces (..wheel and shift ****) nice, and I kept a suede brush in the car to brush the alcantara center console, e-brake boot and shift boot. I will do the same in my 992 since I optioned a lot of alcantara in the car.

i religiously hate alcantara. Had it in an AMG car and my god did it wear like a peach in the summer.

I haven’t had that same experience, but that’s probably due to how I treat(ed) it. My alcantara still looked new after 4 years of use.

would appreciate an input from anyone with the Porsche Crayon interior. Maybe its a bit different. It could be higher maintenance or otherwise.

It’s not any different in terms of upkeep nor is it higher maintenance. I would wager the BMW leather is slightly nicer and more supple than the 911’s standard leather (…based on feel and seeing both side by side). You’re overthinking it. The only question you need to ask yourself [and answer] is if you’re willing to deal with the added upkeep of near white leather (…because anything that could potentially stain the leather will cause you anxiety that wouldn’t be there with black, for example). If not, go with a dark color.

I am keep a very clean car regardless of the Colour 😂. My last car was a bmw with the Mocha interior and i still had many cleaning products wherever i go. Especially with two kids.

i just want a change, all my previous cars had Red, black or brown interiors. I think its time for a light colour. And it look bloody amazing with the Gentian Blue.

Will it have a stain that won’t go away?

Well that all depends on what you do/don’t allow in your car. I probably wouldn’t want somebody drinking Hawaiian Punch in a car with whitish colored leather.

I'm not sure how you've managed to do it, but your GTS4 coupe is pricing out higher than my (very well optioned) GTS cab - and you don't even have PDCC.

Sure enough, dealer confirmed my car is now in Hamburg and should be put on the Atlantic Sun.
