Looks like they added a port stop in Veracruz and Santa Marta - My TYD also says 2/11
But according to sailing schedule CW 50 looks like gets into Benicia on 1/23/2022 and into San Diego 2 days earlier on 1/21 - My hope is it doesn't take 3 weeks from the port - based on others timings... maybe a week? So 2/1 into Fremont is what I'm hopefully planning for.
Mine got to Benicia Sat night. Got a call from dealer that it is on its way and ready for pickup this Thurs!

My TYD finally updated a few min ago!! I'm on Siem Confucius and leave on December 24. My timeline did just grow from 31 days to 38 days with the update. Jacksonville 1/14 and in South Florida on 1/28, instead of 1/21.

Mine too, yours must also had been on RCC Classic. But I haven't heard when it'll be at the dealership. Which one is yours going to? A local Bay Area dealership? Mine is going to Walnut Creek.

Hey guys - looks like most people are in the 4-6mo range from deposit to delivery for their 992's, I went to my local dealership and they quoted me 8 mo - 1year from deposit for delivery of a GTS. Does this sound right? Why would it be so long...I have no inside track to an allocation so I am guessing it is that, but would love to hear everyone's thoughts on expected wait times.
Many thx
I requested an allocation and placed a deposit the first week of July 2021 for a Targa 4S. My deaIer (Porsche Austin) called me November 2nd and told me he did not receive any 4S allocations but offered me a Targa 4 GTS allocation which I jumped on. It actually came out cheaper than the 4S I had configured. The car locks down March 14, 2022 and the estimated delivery date is June 17, 2022 So I am looking at about 11 1/2 months (just as well say 12 months!) from start to finish.

I’m on the Crystal Ray too. That Veracruz stop makes me think it will take longer to get to the West Coast. I hope not as I’ve literally been going crazy looking at the TYD site daily since August. But going in and back out of the gulf? And according to Marinetraffic it’s been sitting off the coast of Spain for the past few days. I will fly to the boat and drive it here if that’s what’s needed.
Brief summary: 2021-06-xx — Deposit Paid 2021-07-17 — Order is Created / Allocation Confirmed 2021-09-28 — Scheduled for Production 2021-11-13 — Vehicle Produced
2021-12-14 — Vehicle arrived in Toronto, Canada
What's weird is that My Porsche still shows me at Stage 3 (Your vehicle has been produced). Can't wait to fly back to take delivery!
I can't take delivery yet since I am still out of town until after the New Years, but my SA finally sent me photos!

Unless you've paid for the satellite tracking marine traffic loses exact positioning of ships once they're away from the coast - when it says Dec 18, 2021 - that was the last GPS location registered but that's not where the ship is. Probably about half way to Veracruz now. (ETA 12/30). Once it gets into VeraCruz we should be able to track more closely.
Again. Not that any of this is more than just torture.
My last post on my favorite thread in the 992 forum. It all began here!
Yesterday, I took delivery of my 2022 Targa 4 at Porsche Experience Center -- Los Angeles. Family and friends were there for the whole event, from unveiling to all of us in a 911 on the road course, to an amazing lunch at 917. I was dreaming of this day for months. The reality was more than I ever imagined. I've attached some photos of the day. I'm lucky to live close to PEC. For anyone who hasn't done this, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Here's a brief rundown:
We arrived at 8:30. The weather was cool (for SoCal), partly cloudy, and dry.
At the entry, we were greeted with our delivery team. This comprised of 3 people who were with us the entire time.
We got our lanyards, followed by a tour of the facility. The vehicles on display in the museum were described in detail, with rich history.
Next to the museum is a racing garage. It's as clean as a pharmaceutical lab. All types of race cars were in there, along with PEC cars and delivery cars
We then went into the delivery showroom. There was a large screen TV with the names of all the guests, and a photo of my Targa 4.
On the table were silver/black M & M's (my Targa 4 is Dolomite Silver, with a Sport-tex interior), a star for the delivery board, with our signatures on it, and lots of other swag.
There was coffee and French bakery goods for all.
The Targa 4 was illuminated by overhead lights, and covered in a black Porsche cover. The parking lights were on, illuminating the red rear light.
After more discussion of history of the 911 and the Targa, I stood next to my car as they took off the cover. What a glorious sight!!
We then did a thorough (and I mean thorough) introduction to the car, including complete vehicle set-up. The only thing that was left was programming the home-link button (which was quickly done at home).
During the entire event, they were taking high-quality photos with a dedicated SLR camera.
At 9:50, we left the delivery showroom, and made our way to the driving area. Each of us was assigned our own personal driver, in a car in front of us, with radio communication.
We each did a 90-minute Porsche driving experience. I was in a 911 4s. The two others were in a 911s. The driving experience was really something. You learn all types of driving dynamics, and the specific things a 911 does to assist you in a variety of situations. It was fun and hard and educational.
We did laugh control a few times, including on the long straightaway that leads to the famous re-make of the Nurburgring steep turn.
After the driving experience, our whole party was comped for a fantastic meal at 917. Our hosts came over and chatted with us several times during our meal.
After lunch, we went back to the museum and the front of the location. Out front was a Le Man's type race car facing the front doors, on a wide walkway. My Targa 4 was parked at it's rear, facing the opposite direction. PEC was packed yesterday, and there were lots of looks at both cars.
We said our goodbyes, and I drove the Targa 4 home, my son in the passenger seat. It was a fairly quick drive, but oh so enjoyable!!
Just an amazing day!!

Sounds like an amazing experience. Makes me wish I opted for the PEC delivery, but I'll be happy enough when mine comes in Feb.
Thanks for the write up. My car has been sitting in Houston for over a month waiting for my delivery slot to open up at PEC LA. It's supposed to be shipped soon for arrival in early January, and I'm scheduled to take delivery on 1/20 (afternoon session). I'm hoping the next 4 weeks go by quickly, but I think they're going to be the slowest 4 weeks of my life. Reading the description of your thoroughly enjoyable day just slowed things down even more. Enjoy the holidays in your fantastic new car.

Have a great time and soak it all in! The day will be here soon.
