Just got on the waitlist for a Targa 4 GTS.... i'm #3 at my dealership and told 6-12 months estimate to take delivery... Do you think that's realistic?

That depends on when you get off the waitlist. Once your order is placed and in the system, you're looking at 6 months +. The question to ask your dealer is when you'll get off the waiting list and actually have an order. With so few allocations, and the GTS not even in production yet, I think a more realistic time frame is 12 - 24 months.

Dealer claims it will go quickly once he gets an allocation. But like you said, they aren't even in production yet, so it will be a while before I get an allocation... Sort of stinks because pre-owned ones are so overpriced - will just have to wait

Mine got on the vessel today (10/29). My Entry to Port is 11/21 but Port processing is 11/19 lol. Arrival to dealer is also 11/26. Hopefully the dealership is open on Thanksgiving week. :/

I got on list as #8, got allocation in 6 months, wait time looking like 6 months total. Expect that to be longer for orders now, but may depend if you have status.

Same here. Entry to port date is consistent with the schedule posted earlier, and my guess is that the port processing date just hasn't been updated yet. Dealer service department doesn't open on Black Friday so I expect I'll take delivery week after Thanksgiving if all goes to plan and there are no missing chips or software updates.

It looks like Glovis Chorus has left Emden and is headed to Zeebrugge to pick up more cars before crossing the ocean.

TYD expected dates are always on Fridays. They are estimates at best, especially when it relates to shipping milestones.

Mine just got updated to on vessel as well! I'm hoping that things will go ahead of schedule and get the car before Thanksgiving, but that's probably wishful thinking lol.

I also have a 2021Targa 4-- fantastic car-- and way faster than anyone needs for going down the freeway or to lunch. falling for Porsche's game of getting you to pay an
extra $18,000 for a few more hP and the badge is silly.

The Targa is a sports luxury car and not intended to break records on a track in that is hundreds of pounds heavier than the coupe.
