That schedule is very odd. It took your car almost a month to get from the factory to Emden, and by the time it's loaded on the boat it'll have sat at Emden for another month and a half. By contrast, my car was completed almost two months after yours and is already on a ship and entering the Atlantic from the North Sea. I wonder what the explanation is.

I see that on MarineTraffic. Seems really odd because NYC is not one of the stops listed in the Stena Glovis schedule.

I am not worried. That probably accounts for why the date for the ship docking at Benicia got pushed back from 11/21 to 11/25.

It's about 8 days to NYC from the ship's current location, then it will probably hang out a day or two there, then another 6 days to the Panama Canal. Compared to ~11 days if it were to go straight there. That is ~4-5 days extra right there.

Well, NYC > Benicia is 18 days. I hope they won't make stops at South America, but even with San Diego, we are looking at another 3 weeks from the time it reaches NYC. Interestingly dates haven't moved in TYD but the ship's route changed to include NYC. I hope TYD is correct.

Yeah, the ship AIS is broadcasting that it will reach NYC 11/7. 18 days from that brings us to 11/25. There will probably be some more slippage of the schedule with the stops in Santa Marta and San Diego, but I don't think it should be too bad.

Reaching Benicia on Thanksgiving Day vs 2 or 3 days from then won't make a big difference, since I don't think the port processing folks are working on Thanksgiving or Black Friday anyway.

Felicity Ace is heading to Houston and due on the 5th. She's been moseying along the entire cruise. Hopefully she keeps a good pace for this leg.

Anyone else have a car still at Port of Baltimore that discharged from the Siem Aristotle on 10/22? Mine shows port processing complete on 10/22, with transportation to dealer scheduled for 10/22, and arrival at dealer scheduled on 10/29. Yet, the only milestone actually showing completion is the port processing on 10/22. My SA says his system shows the same info and he doesn't;t see any delays or holds.

Once the car is at the port, I think TYD's predictive ability goes into the toilet. My TYD has been all over the place ever since it hit stateside. Don't be surprised if the status changed to en route today.

The sure fire notice is that the dealer will get an email that the truck is en route. If he hasn't gotten that then you know for sure that the car hasn't left.

My car was on the Aristotle as well, but TYD was definitely delayed after that. I got a notice on Thursday that the car was on its way to the Dealer, but I already brought the car home Wednesday night. Maybe depends where your car is going to for trucks to that area. For whatever it’s worth My SA didn’t expect the car for at least another week so it seems I just got lucky.

Thanks for info. My TYD did switch to in transit a little earlier today. Also called my SA in Michigan and he’d just received the email it had left the port. He couldn’t tell what day it was to arrive, but he guessing on Tue or Wed. Once the dealership preps and checks it they will ship it to me here in Hilton Head Island. So, hope to have it in 10 - 14 days 🤞🙂

We don’t have TYD in Canada therefore rely on the 4 stages to stay up to date however even that it not reliable once you hit stage 3 of production complete. I was waiting for confirmation of vessel and got a pleasant surprise that the car arrived at the dealer last night!
