Good choice! I just ordered a Taycan 4S in Cherry Metallic. I've only seen it in person on a Targa Heritage Edition - looks very sharp.

Strangely 9924S allocations are not that easy to get so I wouldn't dismiss it. I've gone through obtaining 2 already. There is a reason the base car is more expensive. Hopefully your number is up sooner than later. Not sure how dealerships manage said 'list' but Good luck! The wait is the worst part of it and depending on who you get at the dealer they are worthless for spec'ing the car. Suggest you contact PCNA direct and get a personalization manager assigned to your order from the comm number on..

Also STILL waiting on a C4S allocation, deposit placed in January, also first on the list. Seeing others get allocations that haven't been waiting half as long as I have is frustrating as a buyer. It's a little nebulous how Porsche doles out the allocations to dealers, it obviously has nothing do with whether a dealer has an order ready to be entered. For the love of lord and savor Danny DeVito, Porsche, let me give you my f**king money!

To provide some further perspective on how this whole allocation distribution may or may not work. Back before the world turned upside down and shut down, in Nov. 2019 I put in an order for a 9924S. I wanted it manual transmission so I had to wait as at that time the MTs had not been launched yet. In early Feb 2020 the dealer called to get '1st on the list' as MT S/4S allocations were supposedly imminent. I put the deposit down and the allocation came in July 2020 together with a comm number and the TYD. At that time there was no shortage and the demand was still somewhat 'normal'. Now fast forward a year plus from then and in the midst of component shortages, multiplied demand and a crazy market, this is where we are.. Oddly enough my 2nd allocation I received 2 weeks from order in the middle of all this so, no rhyme or reason on how this works. Hopefully there are better days ahead.

My C2 is at the port in Jacksonville and unloaded but according to my SA they’re waiting to install tire pressure sensors on vehicles at the port before shipping to dealers. Has anyone else have any details on this?

My C2S MT Agate Grey left the port of Baltimore on a truck today and is on its way to my dealer in Illinois!! No TPMS delay hold as far as I know; it arrived at the port of Baltimore and completed port processing on 5/21. TYD says it will arrive at dealer on Friday. Detailer will pick it up still in wrapper, transport it in an enclosed trailer, and paint correction/total PPF/ceramic (2-3 days). Still no production pictures posted. Maybe in a week or so I actually get to drive it!!!

TYD Summary:
Build frozen 3/25
Ordered: 4/1
Production scheduled: 4/9
Production started: 4/20
Production completed, shipped to port: 4/22
Arrived Emden: 4/26
On vessel (Siem Confucius) 5/6
Arrived Baltimore, port processing completed: 5/21
Shipped to dealer: 5/26

PSA for those sharing the ride on the RCC Europe with my 992 C2: it's presently at anchor on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal.

I'm hoping to get a few screenshots of it via the webcams (https://multimedia.panama-canal.com/index.html) but I have no idea how to find the expected channel crossing and transit ETA.

I never realized it only took 3 days to build the car once they started.

My car has been at Davisville RI since 5/12/21, still waiting don't know if it is due to TPMS sensors lack of truck drivers or what but bottom line I do not have my car.
