Rule of thumb is to lock down your final build as soon as possible here. There is some leeway in lock dates and most SA's with experience will get you to lock in ASAP and definitely within 30 days of your lock date. Reason why is as you note, Porsche does have changes in their production schedule and when they do...they WILL move your date without as so much as a sneeze and notification to you. So if you say are playing with your color choices or trying to decide if you want full leather vs sport tex or maybe rear axle steer or SPASM or FAL...something hard to reconfigure or add on later then your best bet is to get that sorted out now! Tires/wheels can be swapped later sometimes...but the general rule is once locked...its locked=no changes, In Porsche-speak it is VERBOTTEN!

Still no pic It's suppose to be on the boat next Friday.
I went ahead and had the dealer hold some clear side markers for me. So, I'll swap those out when I get home on delivery day.
I'm sad I didn't get a production picture, but it will be okay. At least it's kept me relatively up to date.

I'll post some pictures when I get it on or about March 5th per TYD.

Wait till you get home? Man have the dealer slap them on during PDI before you get there to pick her up! Just a suggestion...ask them to throw them in for free! Better than a hat or keychain IMHO and relatively low cost.

Too many. Mostly extra leather where you would normally would not see even with the 5HC exclusive options selected. And other multiple goodies on special wishes for which Stuttgart didn't even have a program for, hence the wait as they had to do R&D first then develop them, then get them approved, (that was a gruesome tug of war back and forth with PCNA and P.AG) then they could sell them, then they could build them. Notwithstanding the delays due to Covid-19. Long wait, now I hope it will be worth the wait... Car was supposed to be a 2020 model..and I should have been driving it a year ago...

Just checked Tracked my Dream and my C4S is now on board Centaurus Leader in Emden. Just the short trip to San Diego and then to Scottsdale AZ to go! Anyone a shipmate?

Like many of you here, I've been dreaming to own a Porsche since I was a little kid. The day has come.
After countless sleepless nights configuring the spec, and talking to my Exclusive Manufaktur sales back and forth...I even reached out to a Porsche Japan senior executives using my connection, I successfully ordered mine yesterday.

Here is the code (I re-specced in UK site for English purpose as mine is configured in Japan spec)
Expecting to get delivered in October or November 2021 due to PTS program. (will be MY21)

I wanted to build this car with simple and classic look (well the exterior color might not be "classic").
So here are some highlights of the car....

-Carrera 4S
-Nogaro Blue Metallic (PTS color)
-SportDesign front bumper and side skirts, Carrera classic wheels, Sliding glass roof
-Window trim in silver, brake caliper in black, 911 logo (no carrera 4s)
-PDK, PASM, SportChrono, Sports exhaust with silver tips (exclusive design)
-18 way Sports Seat Plus in Black leather, seat ventilation, heated GT steering, alcantara roof lining, interior trim in leather
-LED Matrix headlights, most of safety features

and some other few options. Ended up with more options (money) than expected, just like many of you guys lol

This is way beyond exciting. I still can't believe I am getting one. I don't even know how to express my feeling but definately I am proud of being one of a Porsche owners soon. It means a lot to me.

I put them on my 991. It's super easy - 10 min install max. I'd rather do it. I don't want my car scratched. I'm pretty particular about the paint (i.e. I prefer to be the only one washing the car). The exception will be at delivery. You have a good point, but I already agreed to buy them. I doubt they'd do me a favor anyways. Thanks for the encouragement. 27 days and counting.. COME ON March 5th! (Hopefully, I can pick it up pretty quick when it gets there. Last time around, it was only a couple days).

Got the allocation in mid December, froze on Jan 8th, produced on Feb 5th, expecting delivery March 19th. Could be a week faster than that. Let’s see.
Happy that all milestones occurred faster than expected, including the dealer giving me, a first time Porsche buyer, an allocation in 2 weeks of asking.
The next 30 days will be as bad as waiting to meet my new born daughter for the first time.

Mine froze 1/28, production begins 2/26, expected port 3/5 for delivery mid April. My newborn will be 1 month before car delivery. I had to space out the 911 a month otherwise my wife would have probably chimed in...
