Your TYD will tell you what transport it's on as soon as it's assigned.

Mine was slightly after getting to Emden. Good luck, it becomes a little bit of torture when you think the ship isn't moving fast enough.

My C2S has been sitting at Emden since 1/12 and my TYD says step 7 (Waiting at Emden); however, just 2 days ago my ship designation was assigned under step 8 (On Vessel)—even though my car isn’t on a vessel yet.
You should get your ship designation as soon as you’re about 3-5 days from your car getting into the vessel.
On a side note, I still don’t have my post production pics 😞😞😞

I only got one picture, and it wasn't post production it was in the middle. It took 10 days or so after I got the production is finished phase on TYD. There seems to be several timing variations and some never recieve any pictures. Good luck.

Hello fellow Rennlisters!
I recently locked on my C2S (and first Porsche!) and I'm thrilled and excited to finally join this thread. This has been a long journey for me and with all but one of my kids out of the house, I knew the time had come. My original plan/budget was a fully loaded 718 Cayman S, but after test driving that and a 911, I just knew I had to make the 911 work, with my ONLY requirement being a manual transmission. My build (http://www.porsche-code.com/PM7YUB30) is definitely "minimalist" compared to most -- I would've been very happy with a Base 911 with more options, but like many of you I was "forced" to go with the C2S. This will be my daily driver with no plans to track it -- so this build checks all the boxes important to me. I will soon be an owner of a 911 C2S MT and THAT is all that matters!!
Thanks to so many of you on this forum for the amazing amount of information to help me get to this point. Also, to Nick Murray who had me reconsider my Agate Gray and switch to Night Blue!
Save the Manuals!
Best,
Rob

Track Day
Excited to join the waiting list! I did the PEC-ATL driving experience in December and was instantly hooked. I spent the holidays doing a deep dive on the options, and this forum was a huge help. I ended up ordering a GT silver C2S with high gloss black wheels - PMBG8MQ7. Would be interested in any feedback on the spec to make sure I haven't screwed something up. I am very anxiously awaiting a June delivery -- at least it will be summer and fun driving conditions. The Hennessy dealership in Atlanta is amazing, and has provided a perfect experience in getting this in the works. 138 days to go!

Congrats,
I understand how some think they really want a manual transmission and if you are bringing back an old sports car memory I get it. But you owe it to yourself to read about and drive the PDK, it's the most amazing transmission. You can still use paddle shifters but it's just so incredibly fast and add's to the fun driving experience of these cars. I know because I wanted three pedals initially years ago until I discovered how much better the PDK was. Either way you will have a fantastic car, congrats.

Mine was ordered initially with a MT until TOWMBO insisted that I was no longer 27 and would I really want to be pressing a clutch in in 5 years at the age of 75? I was always a MT guy whether in Europe or Hawaii, but having entered into my 8th decade, I decided to get the PDK; just wish I could swap my 6 speed Tiptronic in my V8 Touareg for a DSG... As said above, either way a great car and AFAIC, I'm still 27...

I think the mirrors are a nice touch. I like the way they look on my car, we have a lot of the same options.
I'm curious are you going to track the car? Ceramic brakes are a really expensive option if you are just driving around town. I actually considered getting them until my next door neighbor (who races at Willow Springs) talked me out of them.
