I notice most C/CS builds don't have body colored side mirrors, even if the build includes the body colored sport design side skirts. I see body color mirrors on the Turbo/S is standard, perhaps the majority do not want to spend the extra cost, so value is the reason?

I've ordered Carbon Fiber mirrors that come with Gloss Black lower housings... I also spec'ed the Gloss Black window trim to match.
That's about $2K for mirror appearance right there... call me crazy but cost did not play a factor in that "I want what I want" decision. And the resale value on that combo is probably close to $0

I was going for a black accent since I did that with wheels, exhaust tips, etc., and I figured that the standard accomplished what I was going for versus adding the paint option.
The body of the mirror, in my case, is the color of the vehicle, the arm is in Exterior Mirror Lower Trim in Exterior Color and Base in High Gloss Black Porsche
From one guards red cab S owner to another (future one), congrats on your new order! It's a beauty. Red is just such a natural color for a sports car, although many have also argued that it's a cop magnet. So be careful!
Yes my dealership kiddingly called it,
"Arrest Me Red!" Lol!!
Yes, that is the pic I posted above. I got it on TYD about 7 days after it said production completed.
My production ended on 1/20 per TYD, but the status landing page updated on 1/27. It's in Emden now, but I hope there is still a chance I could get a pic in production next week.. Did you see a difference between these two pages (TYD and the landing status page)?

My pic showed up just below '3. Your vehicle has been produced' on the 27th. Production finished on the 20th.

Did "Your vehicle has been produced" appear 7 days before the pic or at the same time? I assume by your comment above that the 7 day lag was TYD production complete and the landing page I'm looking at, but I wanted to ask.

The pic showed up at the same time the status changed on this page. However, the TYD stages of production (after you click TYD) had already updated for several days. For what I gather from other posters, there is not a lot of consistency as to when or if the pics appear. I have seen references to 7-10 days after production is complete if you are going to get one.

I got the carbon fiber mirrors on mine also, they look great. Crazy expensive but what isn't on a Porsche. Good luck and enjoy, I sure like mine.
I got to see in person the carbon fiber upper mirror housings, and the carbon fiber steering wheel trim. They are very nice and I like them both.
Ultimately my build has the entire side mirror in body color (chalk), and matching side skirts in chalk too. If I didn't spec the side skirts, I would have left the mirrors alone with the upper being body colored and lower being black plastic, to match the standard black plastic rocker panel. The pic below is GT Silver example, my chalk won't arrive until June.
Hi everyone...I have a new C4S waiting in Emden (got there on 1/21) for a ship to Davisville. Eventual destination is NYC. This is my first Porsche ever, so I'm incredibly impatient/excited for it to arrive. Does anyone have any idea whether the PWL schedule or Norad Davisville berthing schedule is usually more accurate? I can't tell whether my car is more likely to be on the Bishu Highway (Norad schedule would imply that as a possibility) or the Swift Ace (which is what the PWL schedule says). Any thoughts?
