My car gets built next week, completed on November 13th. Scheduled to arrive at my dealer on January 8th. Looking forward to following the event on Track your Dream.

My order was placed in Porsche’s system today. But my SA says he’s working 10 hour days 7 days a week and doesn’t have time right now to initiate Track Your Dream.http://www.porsche-code.com/PMHYT667
Got word my allocation is in! Late April delivery. That seem like a long time?
If you have a real allocation you should have a commission number. Ask your dealer for it and a screenshot off the Porsche system showing production milestones. If you don't get these you have no allocation and are just in line.
My Targa will start production on Nov 6th and scheduled to be completed Nov 13th. Will arrive in Port at San Diego on Jan 8th. Can't wait to track the progress. PMYL6DJ3
My dealer took a deposit. Said my car was ordered. Did a courtesy trade for me( thankful for the tax savings). Held on to my trade money. Called him for build in a month.Said he would let me know when available. Waited another 2 weeks and asked again. Nothing. Had a
commission number so I called PCNA. No order. Now pissed. Called VP of dealership. Got call from GM saying he was looking for allocation for me. Terrible experience. At delivery they will tell me they would like good review on coming survey. Will have to bite my tongue and smile.

Wow that is poor style, and straight criminal if you ask me.
They did search around and get me an allocation and car is due in beginning of December. The VP was apologetic and told me I was mislead. Still will most likely give scathing review,

...as soon as some time passes, the bad feelings should dissipate & then the car arrives...you'll be kicking your heels & smiling so much, you'll be hard pressed to have negative thoughts - remember that dealers find reviews from their surveys very important - you'll need them again eventually, so being fair is a good long term strategy

Well I think the obvious claim would be that a negative review would be fair given the treatment that was given...dealers need negative feedback as much as positive feedback, to know where to improve...and improvement is certainly warranted given his experience. If we all just fluff up these surveys, we have no place to complain if service isn’t top notch in the future, because we made the bed.

from a national big picture view i'd agree.....from the average customer, who will be in constant contact with the same dealership, i'd say being fair on the soft/fluff side isn't harmful - in his situation, they did in fact find him an allocation, were apologetic and admitted he was mislead - we are all different (thats for sure) - so to each his own review

Fair fair, I do find that we as Porsche Owners tend to hold out dealers to a higher expectation than most and can often times be down right scathing on the smaller instances which don’t warrant it. So your point certainly resonates.

I've had a bad experience in the past and I gave local feedback to GM it was not to my expectations but gave them the ratings they wanted on the 'real' survey. By doing this I think I was 'heard' more and also additionally compensated by the dealership with no lasting negative feelings.
I hate to be this guy to bring it up.... but it looks like parts of Europe (obviously including Germany) may be looking at another shutdown do to Covid. Does everyone think our delivery estimates are still accurate? Or is this all in the wind now?
