How did you get the build photo of your car during the manufacturing process or is this just a stock photo?

Today, I finally learned what my VIN is!

My schedule shows both V270 (exit production) and V300 (vehicle completion) on Oct 2nd (today). Is that when you learn the VIN? They predicted delivery in late November but there's always chance it could arrive sooner (or later) depending on the shipping schedules.

It's been such a long time since I first placed the order in February (PTS allocation = extra long wait) that my excitement level has sadly waned over time. This might just get me fired up again

Congrats on your build completing. Mine completed a few days ago on September 29 and the VIN does not yet show on the "Discover Your Phase" section of the Porsche web site. However, I did text my SA and he was able to provide me with the VIN. Good luck

Done and Done

Cayman Pretraded - Check with decent amount offered
6% discount received - Check
Comm number assigned - Check
Expected Arrival date - 1/1/21

Build lock October 19

Current Build
Base
Midnight Blue
PSE
SC
4 Way sports seats plus
Heated GT steering wheel

Still undecided about
Interior color - Between black and slate Gray
Wheels, I like 20/21 but will get winter wheels that are 19/20 and so if it is going to spend half the year in 19/20's does it pay to get 20/21's for the rest of the year.

First world problem with two weeks to decide.
Loved the Cayman and hard to say good bye but I have always wanted a 911 and the Cayman was an amazing intro to Porsche and if it was all Porsche made I could be happy in it forever but alas they made a 911.

Default Any reliable updates on 2021 Certification?

My CS is on "administrative hold" at Davisville, as I'm sure many of your cars are. Is there any reliable information about when the cars will be freed from jail?

I am in the same "boat" in Houston but there is no reliable information. We are just all getting our release date pushed a week or two at a time. Who the heck knows at this point? It could be a week, it could be many weeks. A little maddening.

Incredibly unprofessional and a little surprising coming from Porsche.

My car is supposed to be in Houston on the 7th. TYD was estimating it arriving at the dealer on the 9th. Sales guy told me yesterday it’s. Ok estimating the 12th. Can’t wait.

Understand people’s frustration that have been waiting a long time, but this seems like something that is out of Porsche hands. I’m sure Porsche and the dealers want these cars too, because they don’t get the sales until the car’s get there. Guess I just don’t quite understand why some are mad a Porsche for this.

Totally agree, I was with my Porsche SA (my delivery date is not until 1/1/21) but he is very frustrated. They are at the mercy of the powers that be and they are suffering with angry customers and poor cash flow.

For me, it's just the lack of communication. I understand **** happens, but there needs to be more transparent communication.

We should call EPA ourselves, let them know customers are frustrated too, and very angry with the delay. Here is the contact info. I am calling them tomorrow.

Quick question. So my car was on the Bosphorous Highway which just docked in Sparrows Point, MD. I assumed it dropped my car off there as I'm picking it up at a dealer in VA. But now my TYD seems to show a plotted course for the ship's next stop in Jacksonville, FL and then back up to Baltimore. So...did my cat maybe not get off the boat and is going for a detour and then back up to Baltimore? Or is this hopefully a TYD error?
