My build is in July with a 7/3 lock date. Right now, dates are a moving target, mostly getting pulled in. Nice build. Care to share you code?
The build code is PMS3TDR4
Like everyone I must have done hundreds of iterations. Final three color/wheel combos were Gentian Blue w/Spyder Wheels, Jet Black Metallic/base wheels in Satin Black, and the final winner was GT Silver/Exclusive Wheels in Satin Black. Deleted close to a thousand pictures I had accumulated while looking at cars on the forum and Autogespot, plus live pictures from dealer lots. Was fun looking at all the combinations people came up with off the long list of colors and options!
What is the first thing to happen after a dealership says ‘you got allocation’? Should I ask for some tracking number or login to the Porsche system? Only got a verbal confirmation and gave them a deposit. What’s next? (California, if it matters)

They need to send you a build sheet that has your build, your name and a V200 code on it, which indicates a live allocation. They should get you lined up for Track Your Dream and have your email in the system so that you get the email invitation to the website. They should print out an itinerary which lays out the key dates for order status changes as it goes through the process. This will include your freeze and lock date which are critical things to know.

Really depends on your dealer. From experience over the last twenty years, like any business some dealers are much better than others. rk-d is pretty much right on with the procedure you should experience. The Sales Manager is the lead on your order. Good Luck and welcome to the waiting room.
Porsche Tyson's Corner just received a car carrier truck this morning with vehicles that rode on the Mediterranean Highway vessel from Emden. My SA told me that means there should be another truckload of vehicles two days from now that were on the same ship. Hopefully that means my 911 is in the next truck delivery to the dealer. Anyone else's car on today's delivery to Tysons?

Congrats, at least you know it’s coming! When I lived in Reston, I had Pat call me when the truck arrived and took a video of it being off-loaded. There is no way I can do that this time from the beach.
Track Your Dream is working really well for me, I can see now that my car is heading to Santa Marta in Colombia right now; that'll be it's 4th port since leaving Emben. It's quite fun to see the cooks tour it's taking to get here .

That’s exciting to see, but torture at the same time. Right?
I still don’t have TYD and wonder if Porsche is PO’d at me for bothering them about it, lol. Another member here has the same date our cars come out of production. She has it and I don’t. Strange.

I’m pretty chill about it to be frank. The bit that does grate is that this week I was supposed to be driving it around Germany and Italy 🙁
I got an email from my SA that my car arrives to the dealership Monday! TYD still shows it as “port processing”.
Dealer said I should be able to pick it up the Tuesday.
