I think these boats stop at a few places that aren't shown on VW's shipping schedule. Probably not unplanned, just not one of the VW stops.

Crystal Ray is headed up to SD, supposedly ETA 8/22. I saw on the news that SD Port is pretty much closed for today.
it looks like they either unloaded in Ventura and are moving on or are just sending out to sea to get away from this storm and will return to San Diego once it passes? Guess we’ll see.

Pretty sure they're still scheduled to go to SD, but just waiting out the storm. Look at the speed, they're just floating around at 2.9 knots. MarineTraffic still shows Heritage Leader scheduled to go to SD as well. Hope the storm doesn't cause too big of a delay :/

Car (911 T) isn't due until October, but oddly production started a day early 7/24 and received pictures of the assembled car on 7/28, although production end date is still 9/4. Since pictures on 7/28 nothing, even SA asked where I got the pictures as their information is that it's in the bodyshop.

Any insight on where it is and what's happening with it? Do they just park it until 9/4 and it moves along as it was early by a month?

FWIW, my 911 was produced 7/4. Sat at the port of Emden until 8/3. Now sitting at Davisville since 8/14.

August factory shutdown perhaps? It’s akin to Porsche purgatory. Factory is at a standstill.

On Marine Traffic it shows that Heritage Leader was just pulling in to San Diego Port a 8am Central time

It is highly possible that it is missing an optional component due to supply constraints.

Yep, probably just sitting somewhere parked for a month. Forgot about that.

My car was assembled about the same time as yours and is also just sitting around at the factory, with a production complete date listed as 9/13. I also have the assembly compete car photo. Pretty sure there are a bunch of us in the same situation.

The summer factory shutdown is a known factor this time of year. Plus there are apparently supply chain issues and delays with CT-assembly (which takes place after vehicle assembly is completed). Your SA can tell you if the internal tracking sheet shows the CT assembly step or not. Mine has it, but yours might not, which is a good thing.

Sucks to have to wait, but it's not just you.

Hm. Or has a good pun flown right over my head here? I hate when that happens.
