There is going to be a massive problem at davisville port. There are 5 vehicle carriers either there/near anchored, waiting to get in or arriving within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Don’t get your hopes up. I have watched this process unfold far too often. There are far too many variables… One thing is certain our cars are going be delayed arriving at our dealerships and it is certainly to be expected with the holidays. Trust me when I state that we do not want this process hurried.
Edit: Note that SIEM Confucius ETA was this morning at 0900 (9am). Technically it still has not arrived because it is not berthed in port.
Once again, very informative, wish the news was better. Hope they can workout the parking problem? 😵💫

Partially true as not every ship will be offloaded at Port Davieville. Apparently we, the future owners on the SIEM Confucius are not going to see any action until after Christmas and after the New Year for those being offloaded at Port Baltimore and most certainly Port Jacksonville. FYI, Port staffing is still an issue as well.
BTW, this is further evidence of just how inaccurate the ship tracking is via TYD. I knew that from the get-go, but there others that did not.
How do the ports work is it a first come first serve basis or if you miss your time/do they bump you to the back of the line?
From what I have witnessed in the past, it appears to be the luck of the draw. One would suspect it is first come first serve, but apparently not.. We will have to wait and see…
We are fairly close to having four RO-ROs camped out. Poor planning…
They need to get Siem Confucius in now. Ridiculous.
Agreed, but if you look at port there is literally no one else there and it has been that way for 12+ hours. I fully suspect no one is working. Unrelated, but I recently noticed that many of the local dealerships are closed today through Christmas. Reopening 12/26.
*Edit: Keep in mind that the vehicles are safer aboard the ship than they are packed into a large parking at port, in the elements awaiting to clear U.S. customs and then be processed through the VPC. After that they then have to wait for a trucking carrier.
SFL Composer left the Emden Port and then it came back and sitting there no luck with me...... not sure whether there are ship issues or a storm predicted...
TYD tracker shows that my car has reached the port of San Diego. However TYD hasn’t updated to Step 9 “Your car has reached the port of entry”, it still shows Step 8 “Your vehicle has left the German port”
How long does it take before TYD updates once a car lands in its destination port? Thanks!

Based on my experience and others that have shared it seems to vary quite a bit. Some updates happen near real time, some a few days later, others as much as a week. You’re getting close and I’m sure very excited. Worth the wait.
