I have read that some folks have gotten through to a Porsche North America rep with more specific information and even had their car prioritized for loading on the ship……can somebody provide the contact info and exactly how they were able to get more information and prioritize their vehicle?
A three week wait at Emden is pretty normal these days. I was at port since 5/8 and finally got on a boat last week. I emailed Porsche customer service and Oliver Blume with the same written complaint. Eventually, a PCNA rep got back to me so I'm not sure which one got me in contact with the rep.

I'm on that boat, TYD says 8/25 at Benicia. Previous VW shipping schedule said 8/27.

The ship just left Ecuador and shows it's scheduled to make a stop at Mexico

Don’t feel guilty about buying a Porsche. Or the boat or the three houses even. I earned the money and still working - this is the 47th year in the same business. Never had a paid vacation, never got a paycheck, bought my own health insurance, never missed a payroll for my employees and started many on their own career. Paid all my taxes. At 71 I’m still working for my clients and my employees and mostly because I like being productive. My fun is buying sports cars.

Have you seen the houses Al Gore lives in? Or Biden - or Trump or guys like Oprah or their respective jets? And I don’t begrudge them if it is honestly earned money.

back to something important - like when my gT3 will leave Emden. Arrived in Emden July 28th- first ship showing up will be in late August / a month later and the car will arrive in Benecia ( S.F.) at the end of September. Checking the ship schedule for Volkswagen shows there just is not another ship earmarked to go to Benecia until near the end of August. And the Www.porsche.com/USA website which is much more up to date by the way than any other source for a time table for an allocation - corresponds with the schedule for the ships.

Sometimes you luck out - and your car might arrive a couple days before say August 25th and gets loaded on a ship after just a couple days.

at least I don’t own a giant RV that gets only a few miles per gallon!

Honestly I prefer purchasing the vehicle from an out of state dealer and having it transported without setting foot in a dealership.
There has only been one time where I was in and out of the dealership in less than 1 hour. It usually ends up taking a couple hours between the logjam at finance or they are doing final prep of your car, etc. Doesn’t matter whether it’s cash, lease or finance it’s a time suck.
With docusign and other methods for electronic signatures, it’s really just faster to do everything away from the dealer.
Having purchased both ways, it’s just easier to do everything via email/phone and wait for your car at home.
In terms of what you’ll miss:
- inspecting the car the way an owner would and not a salesperson, service advisor, or runner.
- lots of “beautiful car; wow what a car”, etc…
One drawback is transport which is awful and there’s always the risk of damage during transport. Unless your dealer has their own in house enclosed carrier, then that’s a non issue.

We requested PTS approximately eight days ago and we have yet to receive an acceptance nor a decline. The body color reads “89” and truthfully I have no clue what that is as most of Porsche’s paint codes tend to be three digits and it is certainly not the color code that we requested if it actually is a paint code. Does anyone have an idea regarding the 89?

My production date just got pushed back 10 days today. Could be PTS or buckets?

We have yet to receive a new freeze date nor a production date. At this point I am not very optimistic that it is going to get approved. It is what it is.

Default Finally home!

Yesterday was a big day for me!
finally the 2024 GT3 arrived home, took delivery at 1pm and man what a feeling
I have been dreaming of this day for a good 18 years and for me to finally have been able to drive this gem home was surreal...all the hard work, the endless nights, the hustle and just realizing how all the decisions i've made for the last 2 decades brought me to that day is insane when you look back...
its a beautiful gift especially when we are able to gift it to ourselves at a young age (34).

Thanks to all in this group for helping and providing all the right info.

I wish you all lots of healthy joyful rides.

Congrats! I can only imagine the feeling. After hearing that you had been waiting 10 days without updates from TYD once the car was in Halifax, to then getting notice the car was actually at the dealer, I'm sure the the wait and anxiety was worth it. I just got word yesterday that my TTS left Halifax yesterday so it should be at the dealer soon and I will share your feelings. Enjoy every minute of it.

Answering my own question. The internal code “89” equals the option code for Paint To Sample.
