Checking in! First 911. Very excited. So far just a couple weeks of delay finishing the production stage. Late January delivery according to TYD

The Neptune Barcelona is scheduled to leave Emden on Jan 4th and will arrive in Benicia on Feb 6th. Not sure what other RORO shipping lines VW uses for West Coast deliveries.

SIEM Confucius people, we are getting closer to the first U.S. port stop. @Shortseller I have purposely tagged you.

I never got this picture for my car's production. Isn't that odd...?

From what I’ve been able to gather on these forums, the picture upload seems to be pretty inconsistent (which I agree is odd). My only experience with it has been on a taycan GTS I ordered a few years back… no picture…a 992 C2S a family member ordered … no picture.
Had my fingers crossed that I’d get a pic upload for this car and it magically appeared on the 4th day after TYD showed the start of production. Also got a pic of it coming out of the paint booth. Beats me!

I literally just took this screenshot. The ETA continues to fluctuate. It will be at Port Davisville within the next 24 hours if not sooner.

Last SIEM Confucius update for the night. Note, it should be detectable to track for free as it gets closer to the coastline.

Can’t wait for my Carrera T to be delivered. It’s our first Porsche and I’m counting down the days.

I have a mid April delivery with my change freeze date on 2/1/24. I asked my SA a few days ago to make some changes to the build for me but I haven’t seen my new configuration reflected yet on TYD. I’m assuming he hasn’t changed it yet.

Is the process pretty easy for the dealer to update your configuration after your order is confirmed? I asked him a few days ago so I’m wondering why he’s been sitting on it. Just curious before I reach out to him again

Yes, it is a relatively simple process for your SA to make changes. Per my experience it can be accomplished in less than five minutes and is typically effective immediately.

Thanks. In your experience did you have to physically go into the dealership or did they take care of it over email?

A call or text to my SA’s personal cell phone. No need to ever visit the dealership and I made several changes prior to my freeze date.
