True, but that wouldn't be what people were calling for with the ST, thats a different unit all together, though Porsche could have decided to use it for the SC but they went a different route obviously...and that may find its way into a 911 one of these days...

Don't really care what they call it as long as I'm getting a naturally aspirated 911 with rear seats.

The original 911ST was a lightweight racing car - seems a strange model to add rear seats.

The info I have is they are going to announce it in late 2023 as a 2024 year model. GT3 RS engine, manual transmission and wide body.

Incorrect. ST is ST. SC is SC.

I don’t need to point out the obvious on which one will be the desirable one to collect

@unotaz Ditto for the 50th RS and the 992 GT3 RS, or are they the same car?

Don’t think same car. There are supposed to be 4 Heritage specials (SC is second after Targa) and think 50th Carrera RS is 3rd which sounds like a Carrera GTS mechanically with retro cosmetics.

Sounds mediocre rather than the party piece it deserves to be. ST sounds more exciting.

Porsche has confirmed that the 4 Heritage models (2 released so far - Heritage Targa and SC) will not have Motorsport engines, so the main 'talking points' will be its Porsche Exclusive Manifaktur touches most of all (granted for the SC a few other highlights like the [7-spd non-MS] manual, rwd, WB).

This BTW further explains why many of the CXX items for the GT3 are either blocked (houndstooth inserts), or prohibitively expensive (e.g. $32K+ Paldao wood interior)

ST and RS are different. Surprisingly Heritage isnt going to be "head" of ST which will be 1-1.5 yrs after RS (992.2). This will be the 911R car for this 992 Gen.
