But if it is not only about the money - and if it is about the cars and about Porsche. unotaz made above the best follow up list.
And each of those points are a joy for enthusiast and obstacles for flippers.

it all comes down again to: no guts no glory. or. it's better to be safe than sorry.

spec a Cayenne with Exclusive to tripple the MSRP. (which is +- the same risk as ordering a 918 back in the days). if done - you will have good chances to get also an ST through your new network.
(i would rather race a 992Cup for 200k a year - instead of chauffeur a Exclusive Cayenne. )
well said

RIP the VIP

918 posers can't keep the Porsche business running, even if they were 9180, Porsche realized that is the network that buy any bring the money not few Chaffeurs

With the delays I wonder when the ST will be unveiled. Any ideas?

2 years out. ST will be revealed after the GT3RS, which won't be until next year.

Is this pure speculation, or do you have some rationale?

I actually agree that the SC is more likely than the ST since there is a safari spec mute car in test.

The ST...was always going to be the SC as far as I can infer...other info was rumor mill, though would love a surprise there.

The mules are without the tell-tale intercooler holes in the back and with a center exhaust. The SC is based on the Turbo so.. If the ST is the SC, what is the mule we've been seeing?

It was shot in the French Riviera, Beaulieu-sur-Mer can be recognised in some scenes.

Probably not mules for what you think they are then...I don't even recall seeing wide body 992 mules with close center exit exhausts period that ARENT the 992 gt3RS mules, and the ones that show two "closer" exhausts are the upcoming 992.2 cars. Either way, you're looking at 2 more heritage cars (doubtful you'll see a gt3 motor here)and the safari (that's 100 percent). Trust me, WISH Porsche was going to do an ST type car...but they did a good job of throwing people off this round.

Might be, but the 718 has far too little sales to only use the 4.0 NA engine in that car.
