Price isn't the problem. Not really excited about a lease though. I still feel it's mostly about the exclusivity. The Speedster is more exclusive which actually prevents me from driving it as much. I think the GT3 looks better than the S/T partly because I don't like the decals so won't have on mine. For my driving, am I just getting it because it's more expensive. I understand for people who want to track the S/T, it may absolutely be better. I'm trying to be a good Porsche owner and not just take the S/T because I can.

I can't find anything I would change, and surprisingly even love the wing now. The plan was to give up the GT3 when the S/T comes but now I'm not sure. I drive the GT3 the same as I would the S/T. Mainly on PCA drives and it's perfect. I'm not interested in tracking but I love driving the twisty mountain roads in Southern California. I think I may how gotten caught up in the initial excitement of the uniqueness and exclusivity. I do have a 2019 Speedster which I really enjoy but the fact that it is a limited edition sometimes prevents me from driving it, afraid it is a bit showy. I'm beginning to feel that I should keep the GT3 and let the dealer find.someone else have the shot at the S/T. Any advise would help.
if the S/T is at MSRP then absolutely take it. I have had all these cars and the S/T is the most perfect GT car for your described use. I dropped mine off Friday after 10 days and 2k miles of spirited mountain drives during Euro Delivery, so I can legitimately comment on it. It’s absolutely stunning, it rides better…steering is better… interior noise is just wonderful, loud but not too much to be annoying. It’s just perfect, there is nothing for spirited street driving that I have enjoyed more. However, if the car is attached with a massive ADM then I would just keep GT3, because the ADM would force one to consider the miles. But again, my lord what a special special car. Was a sad day dropping it off, the wait will be awful.

Be careful on what you say about the ST, the folks in this thread don't appreciate a differing of opinion. Agreed on the decals. They're tacky especially the ones left blank. What color/ combo did you spec? That'll have a big impact.

The words “track S/T” should not be used together. This is not a track car, it’s a road car.

Sure you could, but why would you, that’s what the GT3 is for. I mean obviously you would own other cars to take to the track.

Buy it. Unload the GT3 for the appropriate price since you'll be doing the lease which I too feel is unjust being the VIP guys know this car is a marketing expose' and they'll flip after the 12month hold requirement. Some before since the contracts are up. Your spec though will have desire since the AP boot lickers will fawn for what his personal spec of choice would be.

for the road, i would imagine the s/t will be much better as people who've had their car delivered are noting. for the track, it's the gt3. aesthetics is personal, but having had a gt3t and seeing the s/t in person, the front fender vent and door crease but the aesthetics of the s/t on another level -- RS as opposed to all other 911s.

Either way I hope all the VIP cxx interiors offer more than what the configurator did for guys with their spot. For such a car they surely offered very little in terms of personality. The Heritage cars seem to all be this way.

i think for most s/t owners, except for maybe 918 flippers, the point of the car will be the drive, not the color of their seatbelt outlet trim.

That's understandable. Yet there's something to be said about a lighter or more variety of interiors to me. Black has always just been "basic" to me. More comfortable and luxurious colors to be had.

Yes, I think it really pops to life in the sunlight. Have had so many GT Silver cars, wanted something different and very happy with choice.

If the main or only appeal to the S/T for you is the exclusivity, then pass. That way someone who wants the car for what it is can enjoy it. Couldn't imagine paying $300k+ for a car and not driving it because it's more rare

+1

pass on it, seems like GT3 is fulfilling what you needed. Personally, I would drive the S/T the way I want it. If I want to drive daily, I would. But if you worry about exclusivity and preserving it on a pedestal, don’t get it.
