This Fall, when I get my own S/T, I'll compare the clutch to my memories of my former Carrera GT. Its clutch was roundly derided as impossible with which to launch. One journalist said it was 3 choices, "Buck, burn out, or stall." I had almost no trouble with mine. Perhaps it was being somewhat used to ceramic puck racing clutches in other cars?
such journalists needs to learn how to modulate his food. we had SF hills. not a prob
st clutch has ZERO resemblance with cgt. it sure why camissa said such. st clutch is same as any car
civic
s2000
any gt3
As a Porsche enthusiast its fun reading this thread as you GT owners are a lucky breed. I'd love a GT3 Touring and hoping to get there at some point but just out of my affordability.
The pontification is hilarious and there's always a better car or someone who can afford more etc. and truly its better to enjoy what you have than to make arguments that most of us can't win as its mainly subjective. I enjoy reading the ordering, delivery and usage stories. Hopefully we can get back to that.
Will be able to drive them back to back starting in November. Will report back in here
Wonder how many folks are getting in Nov? My delivery is also first week of Nov and I know at least one other person. Are they lumping them together to deliver most US cars by Nov?
After driving the ST, R, and Touring back to back this week at PEC, not being ungrateful to the R and Touring but I am with Doug on this one. ST is much more entertaining to drive in every area. To be fair to the R though, some of the tech that the ST has that makes it so good, engine, EPAS, latest dampers etc were just not around back in 15. 992ST feels a very special car....
My UK build is scheduled for September/October delivery so it probably being produced at a similar time your US car as we only have a 2-3 week delivery to dealer after production is completed.

My TYD is showing October-December for delivery (since they are doing ranges now) so I'm splitting the difference

been awhile since driving an R or Touring, so back to back helps. But after spending the last 10 days cruising around the Alps in my new S/T have to agree, it’s a really special car. It’s just the perfect level of what a driver could want to enjoy a spirited drive without going over the top. Loud but not too loud; firm but not too firm. Everything is just to the perfect level to make it so enjoyable without becoming exhausting. What a car.

I think if they gave me a tech guy and say 3 months etc with an ST, I dont think I would end up with a better car, I would not change a single thing from the car that I have.
