Not upset at all... it would be nice. I definitely appreciate getting an allocation at all.

for the record I think the standard colors on all their cars are missing right now. I really hope that 992.2 brings some more spice

agree, especially on the S/T. Why couldn’t they have offered Guards red at least? I am struggling with color choice on mine

1. Why would Porsche not have planned it out ahead of time to make sure PTS was available for their halo, "best ever 911" car? I get there's a huge demand for PTS, but this is their most expensive 911 and some of us are in PTS purgatory. Also the existing colors that are non-PTS... not the strongest palette. Because PTS slots are scheduled for all cars, not just for certain trims of certain models. Porsche does not make any more money on a Cayman PTS than it does on a S/T 911. To the Porsche beancounters, it's all the same.
This is partially true but also not entirely true. I've spoken with a board member of PCNA about this and they said Porsche wants "expensive" or more thorough builds on the S/T cars. Meaning they would prioritize builds with PTS and high dollar CXX requests. I was told I had a better chance of getting PTS and CXX because I requested them together and it makes my build more expensive than if I were to submit for PTS without any CXX requests. I know his information is correct but doesn't guarantee I will get 1 or both

Are shore blue and shade green pastel, effeminate colors?
Can’t tell as I’ve only seen in photos
Is shore more like Meissen or graphite blue?

I read somewhere that there was a pigment supply issue. I don’t know if that is true or not.

My question too on how it looks compared to Meissen - I had a graphite blue touring and it definitely darker appearing that shore based on pictures.

Meissen Blue.
I actually visited the factory near Dresden in 1975 during a 3-week European vacation with my Dad to visit relatives in East Germany.

I don’t know man. My GBM touring looked way more gray than blue:

meissen is one of my least favorite colors.

FWIW If I was contained by the stock colors I'd definitely not pick shore blue.

white
ice gray
black
gentian

I could do any of those.
