We are nearing the end of naturally aspirated 911. EU has determined ICE is dead in 10 years, so PAG wants to go out with a BANG. Mooty is correct there will be another 911 variant, kind of like V-Tec in a year or so.

One easy way to know this is BS is that every 918 VIP is guaranteed an allocation and there are many more VIP’s than 100 (and that doesn’t include any cars for Europe and other markets outside North America).
I would say the absolute minimum is 750 with 992 or 1970 being more likely.

Maybe 100 allocations not counting vip’s?

There are no VIP's outside of N. America and 100 911ST's outside of US to close to 500 in N. America makes no sense...
I could possibly believe 100 units for N. America besides the ~500 VIP's in N. America (~600 cars in N. America) plus 800 outside N. America. But 1,400 doesn't make for a very meaningful number. 1970 makes more sense (year of original 911ST). It could also be 992 units, but then I would say virtually no cars for non-VIP's in N. America. I think they'd rather sell 1,970 units with such a high MSRP.

992 makes sense as successor to the 911R & 991 units
1970 makes even more sense as the true 73RS successor & the 3rd (of 4)Heritage car (1st was Targe 50's, Sport Classic 60's, ST 70's, Dakar 80's.
