I believe you, but what is your source given this car hasn't been announced? Feels like most of the info circulating is just rumored at this stage.

Yeah, just my speculation. It’ll be like the 911R (wingless manual only alternative to GT3 RS that is only PDK these days), imo

I’m not aware of any GT numbered limited editions that had a choice of gearbox…

Was on the 991.2, on the 992.1 you have your option of manual or PDK.

It will be basically a Touring but with the fancy front fenders and RS bits.

Most likely limited build like the R model.

Touring is the perfect car. i wonder what the final impression will be of the ST?
The spy shots show GT3 width fenders in front and rear. You can tell by the bumper covers, side marker lights, wheels, and rear spoiler. So, no RS width fenders or suspension. Also, no real estate for RS fender louvers. However, with the RS doors and a slightly less extreme version of the fender exit/reliefs, you can imagine that the car could be lighter than the GT3T and with more front aero. You'd think some sort of additional rear aero would be appropriate to balance but nothing visible yet. It also has the roof from the RS. And maybe special GT3 width wheels. Magnesium?

I agree. It'll be the 992.1 version of the 991.1 911R

I agree. It'll be the 992.1 version of the 991.1 911R
The rear spoiler has a lip on the back and extends out a bit further than the touring spoiler

I can confirm as well that it will be available in manual transmission. I have a reliable cleaning lady in Porsche that didn't let me down until now.

LOL I get the analogy but feel this car would suit a niche customer, like myself, quite well. I just did 68 laps in my Touring at MSR Houston, and the car performed beautifully. I'm not out there to set records but to enjoy myself (why I also went manaul) so I'm not concerned with the potential extra second I could squeeze out of the lap if I had the big wing on the back.

I love being able to drive the car home from the track, as with all of my other daily driving, without the big wing on the back. I prefer the understated, sleeper look. The ST would be the ultimate car for me. I could drive it all the time under the radar and still tear up the race track 2-4 times a year. The GT3RS wing is borderline comical with how large it is...I understand it's purpose but I would never want to drive a car like that on a semi-daily basis. It just looks absurd to me for street driving.

Sadly, 95%+ of the eventual ST owners will let theirs sit in the garage, barely driven, and certainly will never see a track.

They appear to be the same size and shape shape and have the same articulation. The only difference is the small gurney lip as seen before on the 991.

992 GT3T
