E.g., I have a friend who is a German *industry* journalist - think the likes of Kacher or Kable - who drove the 992 GT3 with AP months before the “official” press launch. Obviously, the catch is that that was completely off the record and he couldn’t write about it.

And don’t forget that the 991.2 and beyond engine was incompatible with a lightweight flywheel … and here we are!

It is conceivable that the facelift GT3 could feature (1) the shorter gearbox, (2) the lightweight flywheel, (3) some version of the GT3 RS steering wheel *****, and (4) *maybe* a little more power but (5) retain RWS.
I would love the gearbox with shorter final drive to be on the 992.2 GT3. I worry that the performance might encroach too much on the PDK version though. But maybe they’ll just stick the current RS’s PDK in the facelift GT3 to keep the necessary pecking order.

There it is. Absolutely love it. Exactly the right amount of mods to make it very special but still keeping it "Touring". Amazing.

have you seen anything about the suspension? Is it a softened RS suspension? Or is it a standard GT3 Touring suspension? Would softened RS be softer or harder than regular GT3? Lol

The article says no rear wheel steering and according to that adapted suspension.

I think it’ll be softer than GT3. It may be the reason they electronically limited speed to 300kph

basically, porsche says that the rear wheel steering benefit isn’t worth the weight!
i’ve always wondered what measurable difference it makes. I don’t like adding cost and complexity, with no real benefit.

When not considering lap time (which is supposedly improved with rear steer)

what does that have to do with the suspension? Is it the RS suspension with softer rates or something completely new?
