Can you elaborate; I believe that PMNA is/was? building engines for Singer.

There are rumors that a “Dakar” model or package may be part of the model range from 992.2 forward, based on the success of the limited Dakar model (a la 911 R —> GT3 Touring); have you heard anything?

Styling is subjective, but this 2021 AMG GT hopefully drives better than it looks. I had an 1999 vintage SL65 some years back. Unimpressed, I flipped it inside 5 months.

That's all I have. Comment was made to me several years ago when we were speaking about the Gunther Werks Project he was working on at the time.

About as many as GT cars are tracked.

On a percentage basis, anyway.

It'd be nice if they offered mag wheels for the .2GT3/Touring.

Pretty much spot on. All the development was already on the GT4RS, which ran for over half decade. Go find my post on the disclosure of the incoming GT4RS, say like 5 years ago. Which Porsche wasn't pleased with, and also which I don't give a F, which they also accepted. Which, incidentally, is also much long than they have spent on developing the S/T. Which is incidentally one of the lowest development cost car they have done in a a long while. They spent more time doing the 911R than the S/T.

Lightness about the S/T? cool, there are at least 250lbs that they skipped on the S/T, if not a full 500 lbs.

I got rid of my 992 GT3 even before I have my GT4RS, that's how inferior the 992 GT3 compared to the GT4RS.

And the Dakar? Heck it trumps basically everything from Porsche. Including the 918. Which is already hard to top.

A 2700lb ST would have given every driver a $500k boner. Kidneys would have been offered in the RL Marketplace. There would be zero criticism in this thread.

2700 lbs is 964/993RS zone.

How do we get to that for a 2 seat road going 992? Will be interesting to see how owners manage to reduce weight without losing practicality and all round appeal of the car.

For 2700 lbs you need a carbon tub.

An off-roading 911 (which makes zero sense to begin with) trumping everything from Porsche?...you know what they say about opinions.

I'd wager you're the only person on the planet with that one. Aesthetically alone the Dakar looks dumb. I couldn't care less if my sports car can go in the mud. There are a million badass SUVs for that type of fun
