Interesting. In your opinion, what does it take for a dealer to be contractually obligated to sell you a car?

I doubt most dealers know even the existence of Rennlist. But if they do, I would love to see someone comment on this thread.

However if I had that kind of loot, I'd pay whatever I had to, as it would probably be my only chance at ever getting one new.
This is why I don't buy in Virginia.

This is not even remotely true. Too many of you all are getting scammed by sales people.

I guess I should have bought a 918.
Stop giving Penske your money. They do not care about you.

Ohhhh, Grasshopper. They don't want to reveal themselves to Rennlist. But they are here. In good numbers.

MrSD needs to learn the multi quote function.

Yes, a contract of some sort or until you've taken delivery or paid the deposit in case of European Delivery. Guess as soon as you have a commission number then you'll have this "contract" because then you already have an order approved by PCNA and with that you'll have your dates from order to expected delivery.

Maybe, maybe not. They say there is no such thing as bad publicity, but don't think dealers are loving the fact that their greediness are being publicized somewhere, regardless of the size of the audience.

Agreed. See my other post above. I'm one of the few here who is calling out this myth that it's your only path other than paying ADM to get MSRP for an early allocation.

A contract should include the build date and current estimated delivery date. Mine did.

A friend of mine was on the list at Porsche Marin for a couple of years. They kept telling him they will only charge MSRP. Now, they are taking bids from people on the waitlist starting at $60k over and they have a couple at $100k. Crooks.
