Are any of you guys surprised there are ADMs early on? Come on, this happened with the 991s GT3/RS cars. The first cars sold will get the highest ADMs because the dealer will find the dumb money first. Porsche will build more 992.1 GT3s than they built 991.2 GT3s so many people who will be patient and have a relationship with their dealers will most likely get a car at MSRP. I'm just thankful that I have fun cars in the garage to keep busy for a while.

No one is surprised by ADM; It's the number of dealers and the amount of ADM for a "plain" GT3 that is surprising. Much of this is due as mentioned previously here due to the shortage of chips and overall demand of used and new cars. You're acting like this is a typical cycle, when in fact, things are different this time due to other factors besides the usual GT3 demand and supply. The tide has raised prices of all cars in general. Just sold my 2017 GTI through Carvana for a higher price than I ever thought I would get.

Carvana offered me 15% more on my Macan than 6 months ago. If you look at their inventory, they are very low. Used cars are so high right now. Reminds me of the housing bubble.

Nice! Yup! I see GTI's listed on the site get bought almost immediately!

My buddy placed deposit online for a Mustang Mach E GT when they opened the website for reservations last summer. Since the reservations are from Ford directly, the dealers don't have direct access to these cars, no ADM could be charged, right? Wrong. My friend was contacted by the local dealership and was offered $5000 cash to walk away from his allocation. He took the $5k and put it down on a Taycan. Even dealers will pay an ADM if they can turn around and sell it for a bigger ADM.

My deposit in writing for 1st in line for GT3T at MSRP was trashed when they called me and said $50k ADM or deposit refund. Still waiting for my money.

Braman BTW was $50k, even for good customers. Same as Champion.

Dealers add little to no value in high-end car buying process and in many cases actually detract from the experience. Porsche is leaving a ton of money on the table with current antiquated system. Time to adopt a Tesla model.

Smart call. We always found MIT grads to be great hires. Harvard not so much.

Don't waste your time with these guys. They used to be a stand up dealer then new owners took over. Personally don't care if a dealer wants to charge an ADM - their call - but once a deal is struck it needs to be honored, regardless of what the next guy walking in the door is willing to pay.

I understand the reasons this thread exists, but it also exists for no reason.

If anyone is not interested in reading 130+ posts, here is your summary;

1) Almost every dealer in the country is charging ADMs
2) The are very few people who will end up paying only MSRP, even if they've been promised no ADM. There are other forms of ADM besides cash outlay
3) No dealer is going to be shamed enough by this thread to change a damn thing
4) If dealers are reading this thread, they're laughing at all of us because they couldn't care less that most in here refuse to pay ADM. Someone else will walk in off the street, so to speak, and pay it instead
5) This thread is for venting, nothing more

Forgot one:

6) Start charging AOM (Additional Owner Markup) on your trade-ins.

To the contrary, this is another form of ADM dealers use to give "MSRP" allocations to customers.

"We will give you a 992 GT3 for MSRP as long as you trade in your 991.2 GT3 for $30k under market value"

Well, it's a free market economy, so this thread serves to shop for cheaper ADM. If it's unavoidable at least one can make an informed decision.

Based on many threads/posts, most in here who are shopping this car are calling all available dealerships within their geographic network

What is Greenwich (New Country) asking? I'm four 911's in from them and I bet would get zero love.
