If you really want to spec your own allocation and it's worth $10k to you, I would consider it. The alternative is you delaying/not getting a car and who knows where pricing will be at that point.
Ummm please explain to me how I paid a massive ADM to get into the GT game because I've love to hear it.

And that's a 991.2 as well.

My SA tries to take the sting away by saying that for the price you get ~5K of PPF/Paint Correction and Ceramic coat, and an extra year's worth of maintenance free (for a total of two years). I am unenthusiastic, as I a.) am uninclined to spend an additional $10K in order to make my dealer feel good, b.) prefer to pick my own PPF/Ceramic Coat source [who is likely not the lowest bidder!], vs. paying someone to dictate where and how I will get PPF and ceramic. I have brought up my objections, and got a polite brush off from my SA (which I largely expected). I'd really like to do business with the local dealer if possible, as I have had generally good experiences locally (really like the SA), and the next nearest dealer is 50+ miles away. It costs $0 to get on the allocation waiting list at my local dealer's.

On the other hand, if I work with the dealer that is 50-ish miles away, it's only $1,000 to get on the list for an allocation (credited towards the car cost later), and they are selling at MSRP. This dealer is a larger dealer than my local dealer, so I'm thinking they may get a larger number of allocations. Being in a rush to get the allocation and build date is NOT a priority for me (would like to ideally take delivery in mid- to late 2024).

I'm inclined to tell my local dealer that I am ready to pull the trigger later this week-- minus the $10K ADM...and if he won't work with me on it, thank him and take my business elsewhere. Thoughts?
If that's your plan of attack, you should be prepared to walk. Because you won't be driving a base 911 unfortunately.

I don't have a particular "plan of attack" at this point....which is why I was posting the question...

Allocations for 992 911 are few and far between. Most dealers received maybe 2 or possibly 3, some just one, in the past quarter. For all trim levels, Base, C2S, C4S, GTS, Targa, etc.

It's a seller's market unfortunately.

For me, 50ish miles would be tolerable vs 10k ADM. That's an individual judgement of course. Your inclination seems reasonable- offer msrp, if declined go to the other dealer. Unless there are other factors not mentioned. You can service the car at the closer dealer if the 50mi is inconvenient for service. best of luck.

They are literally one in the same.
You're forgetting that the MSRP of a 2022 vs 2023 GT3 increased by $8,600 which is 5.3%

My dealer told me that they’ll receive allocations on the 17th. Anyone know if there will be additional GT3’s allocated?

Probably the last batch if any. On the last round for 6 months they gave us 1 allocation.

Emailed my dealer and he said for base 911, he is about 2 years out... meaning he has enough people wanting them for the next 2 years based on average amount of allocations he gets.

I’ve seen prices holding strong for used Porsches and BMWs as well. I think high interest rates have caused people to hold onto their used cars rather than buying new cars, so supply of used cars has dropped and demand for them has increased.

Nice, a 991.2 touring with 10k miles and 49k over MSRP. Welp... I guess we'll have to wait a little while longer for those 992 tourings to drop.
