A place to discuss all things ADM

Do you really think that if Porsche builds a few more 992s than they did 991s that discounts off MSRP for a GT car will automatically happen? I’ll help you out, the answer to my question is NO. The demand is far higher than it has ever been. My dealer network that owns 3 Porsche stores in different regions of the country has, on average, a 70% longer list for the 992 GT cars than they did for the 991. Sure ADMs will likely come down but discounts off MSRP is fantasy land if you’re not a VIP-esq client

Car market has gone full retard if cars like Kias and Hondas are selling for over MSRP. There will be a lot of tears shed by anyone who pays a significant ADM over MSRP for a 992 GT3. haha

Maybe a few will get burned, but to quite a few others, it appears they are willing to pay the ADM (because they can) for the car they want now and aren’t too worried about it.
Sounds like you aren’t in that boat and are a little butthurt about it. Not saying you are, but it sounds that way…

I don't understand this statement at all. Why would anyone who gets to order one of the first 992 GT3s exactly the way they want be shedding tears if they POTENTIALLY lose a bit of value on their car in the future? That implies that anyone who pays an ADM only cares about value retention. Absurd comment when it's likely the opposite..people paying over sticker on a car likely care less than the ones who won't

Maybe because there are enough people that can barely afford it, that think this situation will last longer than anybody thinks and that they can drive 6 month to a year and get most of their money back. Depending on ADM they paid they might be loosing 15% - 25% or more of what they paid when they decide to sell.

Who is buying a $200k+ car over MSRP that can barely afford it? I don't know any....and if there are a few, they're idiots and deserve the potential loss especially if their sole purpose in buying the car is thinking they can drive it for "free" for a period of time. The comment above clearly alluded to anyone in the ADM category, which is total crap.
Trojan doesn't seem to have an MSRP allocation, and it's seeping through in his comments.

Not me. I paid a $20k ADM on my car. And it's worth every penny. Just the experience of working through all the options, colors, etc. has been an experience worth the $20k. Dont care if I ever get it back or not. Was worth it. Someone here said it best: You can always make more money, you can't make more time.
Maybe some folks who are hardcore speculating will lose some $$$$ on their ADM. No tears for them.
The rest of us who paid an ADM have already forgotten about it.

Actually I enjoyed it. Lots of folks get all revved up over the GT3, when in reality on the street it will get outgunned by many a Turbo rival. Still a fantastic car. The irony of it all is that the GTS will likely be more comfortable and faster on the street. But that isn't why people buy these cars...sometimes it's more about feel.

So much judgy-ness in the GT car forums over who pays ADM vs. who doesn't. Are the Ferrari boards like this? If you have to pay ADM, it's as if you're a thrice convicted felon and simply not important enough.
Hey, if you get your car at MSRP and get rear-ended to the tune of $20k damage, it all evens out. Remember that.

I don't like to pay aDM and luckily have always had GT3/RS at msrp. but there are ppl who simply don't care.
I know a few buds whom paid insane premium, I do mean INSANE premium to get what they wanted when they wanted. then there are those that flew their cars in not using the boat (it's an option you can pick)... I wish I had that kind of FU $. but really there are quite a bit of ppl that JUST DON'T CARE.
but for most of us, yes paying over a little is ok, but paying too much over could be painful. I agree with u

Are you not well? You're normally much more Confucius & Art of War Style.. what's with this almost conciliatory tone?
What color are you getting? Wing or no wing. I want to make sure not to match people might think things.

For sure a partial change of heart. My Max adm was 15 and I had to go with 20 to get the car. Was hesitant to do so since more money is always worse than less money. But i bit the bullet and did it anyways. Maybe I’m a good example. After wringing my hands on an adm and then ultimately paying for it, I no longer care.
