…and second PTS car that we know off (after the Signal Yellow from a Rennlist member that popped up at a Cali dealer with 1,400 mls), which was originally sold by Porsche Chandler in AZ.
This dealership is supposed to sell at MSRP, but this kind of episodes may leave a bitter taste in their mouth… which may lead them to change their approach in the future. Dunno, but one of the BaT comment stated that today’s seller will be blacklisted moving forward.

But the ADM profits are going to dealers and flippers, not Porsche. I think demand unexpectedly went way up and the just can’t make more to meet the demand, but would make more if they could.
Also possible that they don’t want to make more now because they don’t to create a surplus of cars which hurts future sales and prices. Porsche is very good at both the design and business sides.

Instead of giving dealers "trunk money" (an expense on the books), PAG usually just doles out GT car allocations as a way to reward dealers b/c they can sell those cars for MSRP (in olden times) or for an ADM (in current times).
Now, by manipulating the timeline of allocations, PAG can avoid trunk money entirely by allowing dealers to extract additional profits from the consumer so that PAG no longer has to dish out "trunk money" or dealer incentives for any model (regular 911s, Caymans, or GT cars), which makes their books look all that much cleaner and pristine.

Car prices are pretty sticky when coming down. I am thinking of a major purchase around 500k soon but wonder if I should wait til Feb next year. What do you guys think? Stock market is still unstable.

If you're the sort of person who goes to a restaurant and orders whatever you want, regardless of prices, you're may be more inclined to pay ADM on these cars.
If you're the sort of person who goes to a restaurant, can easily afford to order whatever you want, but what you order is influenced by price and value, you may be less inclined to pay ADM on these cars.
Neither of these is wrong, but there's an interesting dynamic when both sorts of people are competing to buy stuff which is made in limited supply. Making more of the stuff could eliminate that competition, but the maker of the stuff may not want to, or may not be able to.
