This dealership is supposed to sell at MSRP, but this kind of episodes may leave a bitter taste in their mouth… which may lead them to change their approach in the future. Dunno, but one of the BaT comment stated that today’s seller will be blacklisted moving forward.

Actually allowing dealers to charge an ADM is an indirect way for PAG to increase profits (or at least reduce revenue outlay).

Instead of giving dealers "trunk money" (an expense on the books), PAG usually just doles out GT car allocations as a way to reward dealers b/c they can sell those cars for MSRP (in olden times) or for an ADM (in current times).

Now, by manipulating the timeline of allocations, PAG can avoid trunk money entirely by allowing dealers to extract additional profits from the consumer so that PAG no longer has to dish out "trunk money" or dealer incentives for any model (regular 911s, Caymans, or GT cars), which makes their books look all that much cleaner and pristine.

Are you trying to tell me that a flipper flipped the car to a dealer to be flipped and the flipper will be blacklisted?

As they should be. If I were to sell my Touring on the open market for a profit without giving a chance for my dealer to buy, I would be done with them too.

I think @bpeacock mentioned a GT4RS available at 75k over. Not 100% sure, but hopefully he can provide more details.

Yea! I do have one! I've moved quite a few at 75k over MSRP.

Car prices are pretty sticky when coming down. I am thinking of a major purchase around 500k soon but wonder if I should wait til Feb next year. What do you guys think? Stock market is still unstable.

Likely and normal. Once RS rolls out, GT3 stops.

Neither of these is wrong, but there's an interesting dynamic when both sorts of people are competing to buy stuff which is made in limited supply. Making more of the stuff could eliminate that competition, but the maker of the stuff may not want to, or may not be able to.
Do people really choose their entree based on economic value, rather than satisfying a craving and simply ordering what they truly want?

Influenced by price and value, not chosen based on economic value. I’m gradually moving towards just ordering what I want, regardless of price, but not all the way there, and may never be.
