Why would anyone pony up $100k adm on a GT3 when that same $100k could be used for adm on a 3RS? The GT3 is old news, and I feel like this is pretty cyclical with every generation of 911.

Has anyone else asked for their deposit back? I put a small one down for a gt3 and I’m getting a little annoyed at the situation.

since day one since accepting my deposit they basically have said - nope - no allocations available! and now I see the same dealer has a new one in their inventory with an absolutely fugly spec.

I get that adms are a thing and a dealership is a business - but taking a deposit and not being transparent about the situation is just a ****ty business practice.

at least say “hey - the market is good and we can’t offer you the car you put a deposit on - would you like your deposit back or be on another list?” Right now it feels like they are waiting for me to forget that I put down the deposit so they can just keep it.

Just ask for it back then.

But haven’t people been on lists for like five years and then finally got a car?

Perhaps.

You appear to be complaining that the dealer is wrongfully holding onto your deposit. Seems it’s your choice for the opportunity for a possible allocation. I don’t see why you are blaming the dealer for your choice.

No. either you get a car or you are on some fake list forever. If you want your deposit back- just take it back and buy something else.

yes, of course it happens. I’ve put my name down on 2 lists (991.2 GT3 and 992.1 GT3) and have received an allocation at MSRP much less than 5 years.

What you need to figure out is if YOUR dealer is just screwing with you.

Oh so you put it down for 991.2 gt3 and finally got it with the 992.1 gt3?

Id be fine with that.

Coworker of mine found out about a 75k adm Touring today (coworker and I are both looking for one) - sounds like things are softening a tiny bit - who would take it? I’m patiently waiting which means I probably won’t get one but my max is 50k over.

Most lists are fake. Totally Fake!

Pay the ADM, trade in a desireable car, previous GT or otherwise. or buy 1 or 2 non GT cars (Taycan, Cayenne) while you wait and there is no list. Take your pick.

At most dealers across the nation it is as simple
as that!

Going on my 4th 992, GT3T included. So I know nothing……

There's the list (generic) and then there's THE LIST (the list in the head of the GM/sales manager). My dealer doesn't have a "list" but takes care of their good repeat customers who trade back the GT and non-GT cars that they buy from the dealer which is very fair because they just need you to tell them that you want a specific GT car (non numbered) and sell them at MSRP when your turn comes up.

^^^^^This = option No. 2 on my post above. Operative word: “Trade”.

Would love a 2022 GT3, but I' not paying these ridiculous ADMs on these. I get their a GT and have always had an ADM, but 100K+ is just insane.
On the bright side, I have seen them sitting and reducing prices on them and hoping within the next 6 months I can pick one up for a reasonable price. I do have a 2021 G63 I bought new last year, so that could help with dealing since it's very desirable vehicle too.
