By the way fun conversation, I retired last year at 52 and this reminds me of a conversation I was having with my team selling a 4B dollar project securing bonds to finance. Everyone has an opinion on the economy, but cash the majority of time got the deal done because leverage is never good. Hell I worked with guys that made 10M a year and still have to work so I’m not impressed with millionaire terms because they can be highly leveraged. Life is all about choices good or bad, and some live by “you have to die some day” I live by it feels good not to owe anyone a nickel, and I sure in hell will not give the dealer a duffle bag with a 100k in just to buy their car when they have zero value to the transaction when he sold the same car to a friend for MSRP. Sorry for the rant now I will disappear for awhile and watch the fire, thanks for the entertainment. By the way you can buy a 5 year CD ladder non-callable starting at 2.90% to 3.55% as of yesterday if you want to park some cash fixed zero risk. 🤑

A lot of assumption and conjecture here. You’re certainly entitled to your opinion, but the fact is that many of the “new dumb inpatient money” are still paying $90-$100K over sticker for a GT3. Cars are not sitting indefinitely, they’re moving within a matter of days to a couple of weeks. Not too shabby for a $300K purchase where interest rates are sky high and the economy is in the crapper.

Who knows when but can't help but feel a little scammed with this 'super limited production relative to demand, need to buy 5 Macans and pay 50k ADM' narrative from the dealer when there are more 2022 used GT3s for sale vs 3 years of Audi R8 production. Well I guess I'd feel scammed if I actually fell for it but learned in the last couple years that Porsche dealers are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to scruples.

My buddy just ordered a Huracan Technica. Brand new, fully loaded. 275k. Yeah yeah yeah, its not a GT3. Big freaking deal. Its an amazing car that you can get with no games, no ADM, no joke. Seriously people- 400k for a GT3?? Insane!
