I may potentially know of another Touring allocation... $55k ADM. It's May production and PTS eligible (though color selection is due in about a month). PM if interested.

Yeah I’d be really interested. I wasn’t able to PM you. Thank you

Everyone who hates ADM should follow this story closely. Still a long way away but if markets keep strong like they are, VW would be fools not to spin off Porsche eventually.

https://www.reuters.com/markets/euro...es-2021-12-07/

At that point, when Porsche will be directly accountable for its earnings in its own right, and not just as a slice of the huge VW Group pie, you can be assured that shareholders won't allow them to leave hundreds of millions of net income on the table, and into dealers' pockets.

So the bad news is that the cars will still cost 50k or 100k more than today's MSRP, but the good news is that money will go to shareholders and personnel and R&D and not to an intermediary.

I have no skin in the game for this allocation either, and you're welcome to PM me. Also has a Touring for $75k.
Is that slot still available?

Unfortunately not…those two slots and the other Touring I mentioned earlier are no longer available.

I was texted last week about another late summer delivery PTS Touring at $75k, but otherwise it seems allocations for MY22 are done for a while.

I saw a report by someone on CNBC that used car prices have gone nuts the past 3-4 months and a part of that has been driven by more and more speculators/flippers entering the market because they think prices will keep rising. This sure reminds me a lot of 2004-2007 real estate run up and we all know how that ended.

Clearly, the supply-chain issues (lack of semiconductor chips) has brought about this environment.
So has a negative real interest rate. My local dealership literally has only 1 new vehicle on its lot to sell.
Meanwhile, chip companies are ramping up big-time.
My guess is that this wont end well either.

It definitely won't, the chip companies are ramping up the supply side and by the time it's fully ramped up demand might be lower which will cause a glut of chips and overproduction of cars. Things always a way of swinging from one extreme to another extreme. I wouldn't be surprised if we see tons of new cars sitting on dealer lots in 2-3 years and then we see heavy discounting, not necessarily Porsches but for sure all the regular cars like Honda, Toyota, Kia, etc.

most the time I do auto loan @1.5-2% rate coz why not but when it's a car I really like I write check as I can't stand the extra 3 days it took to get the loan done.

probably not so crazy. a friend just took a 40k allocation from fremont & he will be buying a loaded macan on top of that.

three days to secure 😗😉😗 a loan? You live in the Stone Age? Even then a jar of cider would get the job done in minutes 😀

As I said, I am SUPPOSED to get a MSRP allocation, but times have changed so much that I wouldn’t be surprised if they will suddenly broach the topic of ADM now.

It also seems that with this never ending epidemic, I will not be able to do Euro Delivery…but that is a topic for another day.

Dont be surprised if they add ADM. Porsche Milwaukee North wasn’t afraid to do it to me at the last minute! I had a deposit and agreed upon price on my build on a Turbo S since April and last week it was to lock, I got an email
telling me they changed their mind and were adding 20% ADM.

Wow, that is the purest definition of wrong.
