So excited to be taking my car down to Dave at Roadrunner in Portland to remove old PPF, correct, replace, ceramic coat. All the things! Been waiting 3 months to get her in!
A good friend, with a second home in Fort Myers, found out from a neighbor (as he is back in Iowa) that his 991 is probably toast as his garage had 18" of dirty salt water in his garage, and the car is totally dead ... as is his wife's MB E class... his Cayenne seemed to survive since it sits a little higher off the ground!
Warning- within the next year or so, don't buy any cars from FL with low miles...
The put them on auction and title through KY or other states with laws that let them avoid salvage titles. Just make sure any car purchase is done with thorough PPI, water damage is easy enough to identify if looking in the right places.
Finally got my Augment Fuchs Wheels ceramic coated and mounted. I am ecstatic! Love the look. Also very happy that the spokes are thinner - lots of clearance to clean brakes and barrels. Rears do stick out a little, but look aggressive. Special thanks to Live Stream for pics of his car (which inspired me) and his help in sorting it all out for me.

The wheels look great, if you haven't already, ceramic coating also helps with cleaning... Did you do custom offsets? If so, which offsets?

How many years did you get out of your PPF? And which brand are you going with this time around?

Car is a '14 and it's original to the car. It's more hashed than the paint. Definitely needed replacing. I'm assuming he had no issues pulling it off as I haven't heard from him, but it can get brittle with age and be a huge PITA to remove.
New set of wheel bolts for the rear. Washing the car yesterday I noticed one wheel bolt was completely missing... just one. No idea who lost/forgot it or when. Black wheel and black bolts, so it's not visually obvious unless looking for it. Got all 10 for the rears in case the ones on there now from H&R aren't the right length (15mm spacer on rears).

That is why center locks are great. If you lose one, you will know!

I actually had a friend call me once to say he was on the side of the road, one of his wheels flew off on the highway. He was able to get over and could see that his wheel landed maybe 200ft up the road in the safety lane.
Then he says "Hold on, looks like there's someone stopping to help up the road.. wait... they just got out of the car put my wheel in their back seat and sped of..."
I wish I was kidding but it made for a great story haha.
Had an alignment done and new tires mounted at House in Pasadena. I was hoping to wait out for the new Conti Sport Contact 7, but my Pirellis were just getting rough and Tire Rack had the new Sport Cup 2 Connect (240) available. I figure these should be a good tie over until Conti gets their **** together. Took it for a rip up CA2; mmmm mm .
