Bought the Armor All Brake Dust Repellent. I’m impressed. Other than some whitish streak/residue on my black rims, there basically no brake dust on my rims. Drove about 50ish miles today and typically they’d be noticeably covered in brake dust. I’m a bit OCD with cleaning the rims, and the entire black car😏, but have to say I can rest a little easier with this repellent. The residue is not that bad, even for my level of OCD, and far less noticeable than the brake dust. So far so good! So gonna test them it the rest of the week without cleaning them and see how they come out. Next week I’ll try coating them differently in hopes to even reduce the whitish residue.

Previously tried some Chemical Guys Wheel Guard Wax, but that was useless. I think I even heard the brake dust laughing at me.

Next up..May need to invest in ceramic brakes, read some threads here that there’s been noticeable improvement in brake dust.

Glad that the stuff is working.

Your ‘clean rim OCD’ would have to be of Olympian scale, to justify the mega-cost of PCCBs!

Get them ceramic coated. All you have to do then is rinse off.

You can get Hawk ceramic pads for your steel brakes. Almost no brake dust. I'll be replacing with them when the time comes. My gloss black wheels are a brake dust mess after only a day of driving around town.

Thanks! Price of these are much more manageable.

Dropped the GTS off this morning at HOUSE Automotive in Encino, CA to tackle the install of the Soul Performance exhaust system and the DSC V3 Controller. They're also tackling a change on the oil, spark plugs, BMC air filters, and drive belt alongside a fresh set of wipers for the winter season ahead. Out of everything being done, I'm most excited about the new set of windshield wipers. Naturally.

Not true, my wheels are all freshly ceramic coated on Xpel Fusion+ ... It's still not just rinsing them off and voila.

I plan to add Armorall over Xpel Fusion+ generously and see if they might make a difference.

Same here…Xpel Fusion+ and black wheels. Still requires agitation to clean. I’ve tried Armoral and the Sonax wheel shield…both work about the same. They help, but the wheels still get pretty dirty.

Armor All has been strong all week for me. No dust on the rims and driven about 150 miles in Miami traffic too. Love this stuff!

Default Brakes

Upgrade the base brakes on my 991.2. So far daily driving is great. Looking forward to the next track day.

Empty the spray can onto the 4 wheels.

Now I'm expecting to be disappointed as I haven't applied the ArmorAll yet.

Really great to hear about this!! Good share. I'm getting STEK ceramic on the calipers and wheels which should help, but this Armor All intel sounds like it'll be a great supplement!
