In other words, 100% depreciation.
This guy will have this car a LONG time. Might as well make it a keeper unless willing to part for like $140K.
If anyone ever needs someone to take a look at a vehicle at Millenia Motors here in Orlando feel free to reach out to me. They're not far from where I live. Gives me a reason to check out their stock.
From what I hear, Oliver is very easy to deal with and a straight shooter. No BS.

I believe he meant many differences in changes to the car between those years. The only ones being in early 2012.5 cars which had an earlier PCM version and no rev match in manuals (I believe). Other than that, it is the same car throughout 991.1 model years.

Me personally, I would rather have a 2012.5 with 3K miles than a 2015 with 30K. Just my preference.
The only wear and tear that happens is with mileage. Nothing deteriorates in a low mileage cars.

I think STG is just saying mileage has more sway than year in his opinion. Other things come into play like factory warranty and CPO when comparing newer model years.

Read my quote that you quoted!!
I’d rather buy an older 3K mile car than a 30K one that is newer.
Same mileage? Obviously the newer model year would be worth a bit more.
Seen any cars worth posting??

Yes. Nothing deteriorating on a 2012.5-2013 low mileage car that has been stored in a garage. The manual cab I posted looks showroom new.
No rust
I’ve yet to see ANY 991.1 or even a 997 that has rust.

The other minor 'flaw' on some of the 2012.5 models that seems to have been fixed in later years is the warping door panels, but it seems to only happen to a handful of cars without full leather, in very hot climates, and parked outside frequently.
But in general, I completely agree... I'd take a lower mile / better optioned 2012.5 or 2013 991.1 over a higher mileage, lesser equipped 991.1 that just happened to be a few years newer.

Put any of that vintage up on a lift and look at the exhaust bolts... they will be completely rusted out if the car was driven in winters on the east coast. There is good reason west coast cars command a premium.

Driving in winters is another story. Easy to tell if a car has been driven in snow. Reality is, a high percentage of 911’s in the snow belts are stored during winters. Easy to confirm with mileage/time and simple inspection.
Pretty good chance a 2013 991.1 from Minnesota with 10K miles HAS NOT seen snow or salt. Now that same one with 50K miles is probably a different story. Unless the MN guy is using a $100K 911 as a winter beater for his $300K Ferrari??
Then you have guys like LexVan who live in the snow belt, put like 10K a year on, and always stores the car during winters and has never seen snow. Meticulous about maintenance too.
Each car had a different story and situation. Not to mention, the overall cosmetics no matter where it is from!!
The rust bucket
The only place this car has spent time is in the garage!!

^^^ I work in Stamford few times per week, which is 5 min away from Miller Motorcars in Greenwich. If anyone wants me to check out the car, let me know.
It's a sweet deal and an unbelievably low mileage.

Nice build. Minor CarFax ding. Worth looking into and inspecting in person. If in great condition, and was only a bumper job, might be able to get this for a decent price if it sits another 3-4 weeks before years end. $75K??

I think that is glare coming off whatever treatment they use on the seat? Hard to tell.
