If you guys are interested in the well-equipped 991 C2S at Rancho Mirage Porsche, give Martin a call at 858-775-0933. He personally took the car on trade, and knows a lot regarding its history and condition. I'd buy if it wasn't out of my personal budget.

Good luck!

tax advantage is 7%. Kind of hard to overcome in private sale I would think

Been looking at a CPO 2016 car with low mileage (around 4k). On carfax it has 2 records of "Electrical system checked" and 1 instance of "cooling system serviced" that happened within the first year of its previous ownership. When i went to look at the car it was being repaired for some coolant related issue... The dealer forwarded me the detailed repair information, seems like the coolant tank was replaced. Do you guys think its gonna give me headaches down the road and i should be worried??

Seems a bit high for a 4 owner car with a PDK, no SC, and 31k miles. CPO does help though.

Please use this format or similar for listings:

Model: 2016 GTS
MSRP: $150,125.00
Asking: $99,990.00
Mileage: 25,013
VIN: WP0AB2A94GS122205

Posting pics of build sheet and car photos a plus.

Helps keep things top notch here, easy to follow without clicking links, and helpful when looking back at old listings at the history of cars listed.

We just want posts that anyone can scroll through and have all the info there without having to click a link unless they are really interested. We also have many casual lurkers here that just like browsing because they like looking at cars.

Link for build sheets. Just replace VIN # for each car after =

Thanks

I walked away because they were pretty firm on the price. They paid a lot for it on trade-in, and the CPO certification/service cut into their margin. Maybe if no one buys by end of month they'd be willing to break-even.. but even that number is higher than any of the figures people on here have suggested for an offer.

If it sits another 30-60 days you could see them dropping the price. They are in an affluent market, and they will probably not have to discount much. All the winter residents $$$ are probably flocking in now too.

Hard finding deals in CA as is. They are there, just not as many as other parts of the country. I rarely list CA cars. CA is # 1 for Porsche sales as well.

I contacted Martin @ Rancho Mirage Porsche about the '14 C2 S. Said they paid high for the car then had to put 4 tires on it plus CPO. Not willing to move much if at all. Even tho it is well equipped with low mileage, it is still a 4 model yr old car. Much too rich for me.

So are we supposed to feel sorry for them? It is ridiculous for them to even bring that stuff up. The car will sell for whatever the market decides the price is.

If they pay too much for the car, it is their problem.

What if someone else gives them a sob story that they do not have enough to pay for it, will they feel sorry for them?

What is the MSRP on the car anyway?

My sentiments exactly. Unfortunately, I'm sure they'll find someone to bail them out.

MSRP was $131,870.

This car could be $80K-$90K depending on the dealer and situation. A $10K spread easily.

If a car had a market price of $80K, would it matter if the dealer paid $60K or $70K to acquire it?? They would still list it for $80K would they not?

Yeah, but if the dealer ****ed up and paid $80K to acquire it, they'd list it for $89,990 and eagerly remind you just how many new tires (4!) the car has.

Nevertheless, it's a beautiful and well-optioned car. It will make its new owner very happy at whatever price he or she might pay.

Model: 2014 C2
MSRP: $99,850.00
Asking: $74,895.00
Mileage: 1,017
VIN: WP0AA2A96ES107866

Thoughts? A bit high for a C2 with no SC, but very low mileage, SPASM, PTV and sunroof delete. Wondering if there's a story behind that mileage, however. Giving it strong consideration..
