Incredible deal here!

Quick question - what would it cost to have a ducktail installed assuming a dealer did the all the work including paint?

New duck and rear engine grill $2,300

New sunroof control module approx $350 it's a small box (under the headliner I believe) that controls sunroof operation. Settings vary I think because of the duck. Nothing big.

If you want the new center button console that takes off the spoiler button. Approx $400

Paint both duck and grill approx $600?

Dealer labor to remove spoiler, install duck and sunroof module, center button console, and programming. $500?

I'd say around 4K TOTAL to be safe complete job. You have to figure if this car was ordered with a duck, the MSRP would be higher too from the factory. Not a bad deal to upgrade for a sweet look.

A nice look (4S pictured). Notice, the standard engine grill you'd switch over to.

Thanks STG!

I'm a big fan of the duck tail, and of your car!

I've been watching the GT3 market and hope to pull the trigger on a car before the end of the year, but honestly, the more I look and research, the more I think a GTS is a better fit for me.

I'm really not a used car guy, but I do finally recognize that there are actually people out there who maintain cars as well as I do! Some of the cars you have listed are just too good to pass up, especially the CPO cars.

If I can get a duck tail installed for around $5K, that opens up a bunch of GTS' to me, otherwise I'm looking at ordering a car which isn't a bad option either as I have a close friend at PCNA in Atlanta. PTS anyone?

So many options, so many decisions.

As always, thank you so much for the time you spend on this thread.

Great thread! This point about availability caught my eye. I've narrowed my desired 991s down to:

2012.5 S coupe
2013 4S coupe

Will availability on the above models increase anytime in the near future like the GTS or is it more random at this point? Although beggars can't be choosers when buying pre-owned just wanted to manage my expectations on being able to check all the boxes I have. Thanks!

The 991 GTS isn't that old. Out in 2015. Once people have them for 6-12 months, some move on. The reality of the high end car business. That's why more will be popping up.

As far as 2012.5/2013's, you should see some more to choose from. There's always something new hitting the market.

Hey guys, this thread is AMAZING! I was looking back from May and saw that this 2013 PDK S was still available. I was able to buy it for $77,500! Still had to spend $1500 to ship it enclosed but not too bad. It was in mint condition with only 10,500 miles when it arrived yesterday. I worked with Jarrod at the Porsche of the Main Line. He was extremely courteous and a pleasure to work with. Thanks again for all the advice!!!

I am in the market for a new or used GTS. My dealer has one allocation if I want it, but after looking at some of the deals to be had in this thread I find myself second guessing purchasing new.

Been checking this thread everyday for the past month and just wanted to thank STG991 for taking the time to post these cars.
