I feel stupid asking but how did you do this? When I try to do this on my 2014 981 Cayman S, it takes me a menu of modules I can buy for $49.95...???

Not sure why you are having this issue. I setup an account using my emall to login then it asked that I enter the code that came in box with thinkdiag unit and that opened up access to the modules including the service ones.

You get access to 2 vehicle makes also w/o paying extra. Maybe check YouTube videos for how to get started. It's really not to bad and there are some great mods available.

Attached are my instructions for using the thinkdiag to code. I hope that helps.

However, are you using a thinkdiag. The first unit I purchased did not come with any modules. I bought it on amazon so I returned it. I could have bought the module but if it did not work I figured there would be no way to get my money back on the module.

I should clarify. I have been able to code some things, like the accurate water temperature and teardrop wipers (took a lot of hunting for this one). But when I go to reset service it takes me to a lot of choices all listed with a $49 price tag.

You have to download the individual “reset functions”. There was no additional charge to me with a new device.

Has anyone reset any of these intervals by changing the codes in the instrument cluster?

I've implemented many of these "mods" with Thinkdiag device. One was remember the last state of Start/Stop (to keep it off on each car start). Works like it should, but now selecting Sport and Sport plus modes from the sport chrono dial has issues. The sport exhaust console light comes on, but the PASM light stays off. If I then select the console PASM button (light turns on), then turn off car and turn it back on, the PASM lights is on. So in effect, the PASM setting is also remembered from the last time car was on also. Has anyone else experienced this (with auto start/stop coding) or could I have mistakenly coded PASM to remember last setting? If the later, any idea how to undo it. I'd prefer the drive mode to automatically select PASM mode.

My car doesn't have PASM but I have read that the coding to remember the last mode of start stop coding also remembers the last state of PASM.

Thanks Ken. I'll just stick with S/S as off and choose if I want PASM saved as on or off.

Ok, so I set my EBD deceleration ON to 0.15 so I get flashing every time I hit the brakes. Hope the flashing alerts all the inattentive drivers and those millennials whose eyes are glued to their phones as they drive. Found an empty parking lot and took a quick vid.

Nice! I just went and programmed my car. My default deceleration values for on/off were 0.81 and 0.71G. I shifted those down to 0.41 and 0.31G and I used a 1 second time looking for a bit of balance of EBD during moderate braking, but not triggering all the time in slow stop and go.

what value did you use for deceleration off? Does it have to be lower than the on value?

With my 2019 991.2 with *** set to remember it's last setting, the car also remembers the last PDCC setting (on or off independent of ***). Even though PDCC is off when I start the car if I select Sport + as the mode, PDCC still turns on normally.

Deceleration Off is the same as pdf suggested at 0.35

The only setting changed is Deceleration On at 0.15
