Which wireless dongle did you purchase? This is my 1st 911 and afraid to brick the PCM!

This is the one I'm using. Just remember you need to use an andriod device with andriod app. The IOS app will work but you don't have coding on IOS. It's alot of fun but just double check before making changes and log the changes so you can always go back.

This is what happens when I try to set it

Just read fine print of ThinkDiag and noticed that it is a subscription service which must be renewed yearly for a cost. Wondering if it may better to get X431 since it's the same software

I noticed as I was thumbing through the options while trying to find the range report that when I test the systems, it shows that I have rear axle steering. The tool tested it and showed that it was installed and working.
Except... The car doesn't have it installed. Can anyone explain how that happens?

You have the P3P (Sport Package) which includes items 176, 470, 529, 858 and QR5. 470 is rear axle steering. 176 is sport exhaust. 529 is sport design mirrors. 858 is the smaller GT steering wheel. QR5 is sport chrono package.

So, Suprise! You do in fact have rear axle steer.

I also noticed you have the options codes listed incorrectly.

Base 911 Carrera S should be its own line. 030 is the code for PASM. 0L is carmine red. 460 is the spyder wheels, etc.

At parking lot speeds tilt your side mirror down a bit when you make a corner and you'll see the wheel peek out and say hi

It's an option I know a lot of people like, but probably not one I'd order on a new car because of the cost.
Buying this used and finding I have it is a little like finding cash in your coat pocket from last winter!

Porsche is great at Marketing, they do it better than most

For me, the best way to get an honest answer about any of their Options that, according to them are a "must have", is to closely monitor how they option/spec their highest level cars/iterations.

The new Sublime 911 S/T doesn't have rear steer, and its not just for the handful of pounds it adds to the curb weight, it adds an artificial feeling that isn't liked by most purists.

On the track it probably results in a few tenths so if your paycheck depends on extracting a few tenths out of every lap, go ahead and option your car, otherwise keep it simple.

I came across the attached code while looking for something else on my 718. It is odd that it is no on my car since the 4th button does work but I thought I would pass it on to you in case this code is present in your car and you want to try it.

I also came across this code. The more I thought about it, the more I thought I should send this to you as well.
