991 pricing is out of control right now

The biggest difference I felt was in front end and rear grip. The S felt more like my cayman in a good way while my GTS almost feels like a wider front track car, although I think the real difference is how Porsche has tuned the front suspension + Electric steering. This was my 6th narrow body 991 drive so I know them pretty well, and the front end planted feel of my .1 GTS (through the steering and feedback) is something I havnt noticed in any of the narrow body cars. Porsche claims there is no front end difference between narrow body and wide body .1 cars, I call BS.
Lastly, the rear end of this S was as lively as my older narrow body .1 S, not night and day difference but far more susceptible to over steer than what I am used to, but the wide body (may be because of wider track) is noticeably more planted.
As for engine, the manual felt more peppy from 1500-2500, I have a Cobb Tune and Aggressive PDK map, after 2500 they felt similar but past 3500 the GTS is noticeably more torquey. The engine tone on GTS are so very different (both cars with PSE), I was blown away how different a stock .1 GTS sounds past 4500 RPM.
I really tried to love the S with Manual and S-PASM, I could swap both cars in one afternoon and still come out ahead ($$$$) wise, but I just couldn't do it. It only cemented my preconceived notion that a wide body manual is the only thing I would swap my car for, if at all.

My car currently has DSC V3 and I honestly couldn't tell any difference between mine and the S with PDCC. My body roll has been further reduced by V3

I test drove a manual 991.1S at my local carmax (because I had never driven a manual 991.1 S) and had them evaluate my car. (btw, driving both cars back to back was eye opening.. an S with PDCC, manual, S-pasm Vs .1 GTS with S-PASM but no PDCC ... both cars are night and day in front end feel, and over all experience)
24 hours later, their written offer for my 991.1 GTS w/27K miles is just shy of $100K , and thats just a trade in value. WOW
crazy time
(but since a GT3 touring or any N/A wide-body power-kit car with a Manual is a lot more expensive, the high trade-in means nothing, nothing good to upgrade to)

To avoid the risk of derailing this thread into yet another pissing contest, I will try to answer your question via PM later, this way no feelings are hurt and no egos bruised by objective facts and subjective opinions.

As someone with a 991.1 GTS with S-PASM and PDCC I'd be very interested to hear. Maybe a new thread if you don't want it here? Though mine is a GTS 4, which has it's own impact on front end feel. And I just added the DSC Sport V3 recently (and definitely notice/appreciate in everyday driving).

I got 117K for my 17 Cab S(sticker 142k) Paid 120 for the car back in 12/17. 4800 miles. I figured I got a free 4 year lease. I’ll roll the bones and see what spring has instore. I never drive the Porsche in the winter regardless

$86,000? For paint? Does it have real gold in the flake? Seriously, that's one of those options where Porsche was just screwing around to see if anyone would select it and of course someone did just to prove they could afford it. Madness.

This is one unique car, as I can't imagine too many buyers actually shelling out this kind of coin just for paint.

Yes, and I forgot to mention the $86K is in addition to the $13K Porsche charges for PTS, since this paintjob is actually a CXX option. These chromaflair cars are hand painted off the production line and I think they only make 5 or so per year.

Trust me, I get it. When you have more money than sense this is the kind of thing you use it for. Like gold-plated toilets.

To each their own, but I hope this color looks better in person for $80K

Exactly. 98/100 people, including enthusiasts, would think it's just basic Aventurine green.
More wild is that the dealership not only thinks the car is worth $100k in ADM over MSRP, they think there's a buyer willing to pay the same $100k premium for the paint.
Sadly, they'll probably get close to asking from an impatient person with a lot of money.

To be fair, the pictures don't do it justice. If you see a chromaflair job in real life, it looks different at every angle you view it at. It has different layers and metallic flakes in it. It is quite interesting. Of course, not 100k interesting to me, but people buy this for the flex. When you have f-you money, and then some. Porsche does another CF color, I think ultraviolet or something similar, which to my eye looks better (but still not 100k worth).
