This!

During emissions testing idle speed is checked. Plus hp is different in sport + and normal mode and oil temps and water temps. All these factors play a role in emissions.

Yes, several dynos prove more hp in sport and sport + vs normal. Not significant but yes it’s higher.

Can't seem to find any public info on this with the exception of this post. Anyone have anything to share aside from the "list"?

as a 991.1S 7MT owner without sport+ i can tell you the car is plenty fast and responsive in just sport mode; which it's always in.

i can't imagine there is that much difference between sport and sport+ mode but if they force you to remove some software features of sport+ to register the car and it really bugs you, aftermarket tunes are always available.

The dealers do not have much (if any more) than that at this point. I think we all just need to take a deep breath and wait....

Dealer in MI pulled a 2013 and 2016 with SC off the lot as of yesterday. When the dust settles there may be a nice influx of used 991.1 with good pricing.

So my Florida dealer did not have a clue but i spoke to my previous Pa dealer and he confirmed that this is a "real thing". The Stop Sale is in affect and they are without any further info. My SA's best guess is it was about some type of "Cheat Software" for emissions but would not commit. He is also fairly sure it will be on NA cars and possibly not include TT and TTS cars. We should be getting notice based on Vin numbers. Kind of sucks waiting. Hoping my TTS is in the clear.

The real question is. When do I get my check and will the check clear?

Beers on the house.

Oooooh... I'm quoting that so we can all hold you to it!

... Wait, I guess you weren't saying beers were on you, huh? 😳

Sports Chrono in the GT3 is just a clock and the track app. If I recall the Sport Chrono option was about $500. I had Sport Chrono in both by C2's totally different than the GT3. I kind of feel cheated.

Sport Chrono option lists at $2,370 USD in a 2013 .1S
