My dyno numbers pretty much back that up.

Run 1: Cobb Stage 1 - 93 octane in Sport Plus
Run 2: Cobb Simulated Stock in Sport Plus
Run 3: Cobb Stage 1 - 93 octane in Sport Plus

Long term I'll consider high flow cats and a pro tune, but if there are any other stock S's owners out there, I'd lower your expectations if you're buying an Access Port.

I'd highly recommend Base owners get an AP. A friend with a C2 Base PDK running Stage 2 93 octane map topped my dyno numbers by a bit, and it was night and day versus his stock numbers.

protune with soul cats makes all the difference.

Thanks for the suggestion, but what's AP?

The APR tune looks great too. Definitely get a tune if you have a base. If you have an S the off the shelf maps on a stock car aren't going to see the same gains in my experience. Sounds like the GTS is similar.

I'm eager to see what numbers APR could get out of an S and GTS

So it appears the s and gts are "tuned" compared to the base

Obviously they are.

As well the GTS has different turbos.

i suspect the gains for the GTS to hopefully maintain a similar delta difference between a stock 991.2 and a stock 991.2 GTS.

Curious to see what APR can do with the GTS.

Default Stage 1 Very Safe?

I am only interested in taking my base to a Stage 1, which appears to get it to a bit past a S model. That is all I really want. Based on all the reading I have done, if one does a Stage 1 and sport cats, would you qualify this still as completely safe? Or are you still possibly stressing the smaller turbos etc and for a longer term car might I likely run into issues down the road?

For reference, COBBs info, you'll only get a peak/max torque gain of 14%-17%. The Base gets 21%-29%, so definitely more significant. I see Cobb posts the boost levels now as 18psi target. The first maps, I think they were pushing like 23psi. So waaaay more mid-range torque.

For your dyno in particular though, how was the airflow setup? The 991.2 is very difficult to get proper airflow on the dyno to the intercoolers which is my hypothesis why there was so much variation between your two Stage 1 dynos. How much time was between runs and did you log the IATs?

Are you spending two thousand hours on a road course? If not, there will be no measurable reduction in life of the turbos.

There was a fan in front and back. After watching the Seen Through Glass video, definitely not as ideal as that.

Regardless, the difference in Stock versus Stage 1 was no where near 14%

On the street I'm only seeing about 15psi (same as stock) on the built-in boost gauge so not sure what's going on there.

A C2S can only display a max of 17psi, and you should be able see that in a stock or tuned car. Try a pull in manual, 3rd gear floored from 3000rpm. You can plug the AP in for the pull if you want to backup the stock gage.
