Anyone here know if the 991.2 GT3 steel brake could be a direct fit to the T?
I’m installing Spiegler GT3 brake lines as part of my AP racing front brake kit.
I don’t think they’ll work with stock calipers. I THINK the GT3 uses banjo bolts into the caliper, while the base brakes use a 90 degree fitting with a flare.
Jeff at Essex Parts can answer with assurance in no time.
I finally got my T on the scales while at GRIDLIFE this past weekend. I have one of the lightest configurations possible; only the addition of PCCBs and deletion of RAS could make it any lighter.
I have Vektor Performance headers which shave a pound or two, and an Antigravity battery which saves a lot. The car has a harness bar and harnesses which probably weigh a few pounds total.
With me in the car and 7/8 of a full tank it weighed in at 3420 lbs.
+ 3420
- 225 lbs for me
- (7/8)*16.9 gallons*6.1 lbs/gallon = 90 lbs of fuel
= 3105 lbs empty
I’d really like to get it under 3075 lbs and some AP/Essex brakes and Litespeed wheels should get close.

Sorry if this is been covered already (tried searching).
I’m looking at a T that has been optioned without the infotainment system (no PCM). Is it possible to have this retrofitted or is this too much trouble for what it’s worth?
Are you buying an North American vehicle? Because I do t believe you could order it without the PCM (NA cars by law had to have backup camera). So my thought is this is a retrofit removal. All bets are off for vehicles on the other side of the pond.
Tomk86 appears to be from Australia. if I'm not mistaken, only roughly 40 Ts made it down there, and the PCM delete was an option there unlike the US. Adding the PCM back in is a 10k job USD....oem parts....head unit, speakers, wiring, labor, etc, so double that in Australia mate....
Has anyone put the 4-way seats in their cars or have any leads on possibly doing this. I have LWBS…I love them, but wife doesn’t appreciate them as much. My thought is to keep the LWBS for track and DE but install the 4-ways for daily. I’m having trouble DD my T unless I can possibly complete this mod. She’s beginning to be a garage queen which she was never intended to be.

Sorry, not directly answering your question, but I put TPC Racing recline brackets on my LWBs, and both riding comfort and ingress/egress improved significantly. Maybe give it a shot and see if this addresses your issues? $300 and two hours, tops. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
If comfort is an issue, have you considered p1designs.com ?
They offer inserts that provide more cushion which may help if comfort is a concern.
Is it ingres and egress with the buckets? Comfort?

I’m good with comfort, it’s the ingress/egress of the vehicle that’s the challenge. I still may go with p1designs in the near future but they don’t have the material I want..yet. I want the speed blue fabric in the 992 GT3 LWBS. It will closely match my interior with the Miami Blue Paint/door pulls/seatbelts.
I did consider the TPC racing recline brackets…I just couldn’t imagine ingress and egress being easier, only thought it improved comfort?!

Trying to get in and out of the buckets can be a real challenge if you try to do it as if it's a regular seat.
I'm tall and if I try getting in and out like it's a regular seat, I get stuck. Lol
Maybe you get in like this already, but here is how I do it for the drivers side.
Left hand towards the back of the door- sill
Right foot into the car, close to brake pedal
Right hand on right front right side of seat
Then I hold my body as I lift myself slightly over the bolster and settle into the seat bringing my left leg in.
I do this and I hardly touch the bolster getting into the car.
For your wife, it would be the opposite.
Definitely give it a try, it'll will become second nature in a very short time.

I highly recommend Garry at ClassicFX http://classicfx.net/porsche-seat-covers/ for seat covers. He can do almost anything and the quality is OEM, because a lot of times he can get the OEM material.
He's in the UK but very communicative and gets work done quickly.
