it's interesting that the software file they sent you was dated 8th December - if it is actually for the Porsche rather than a Merc then this implies the potential fix has been around for a couple of months

I seriously doubt this will be the fix. I bet they just want to get rid of me.
I have de-pinned my CAN-L for now. So if someone else who has the issue at the moment can give it a go would be good to know if it works.
I also emailed the guy who owns that dropbox folder. Explained the issue and asked if he has a solution for Porsche. I guess he might be the tech guy at erisin. Will see if he ever comes back to me.

one possibility is that the binary is for Porsche but the explanation for installing are using Mercedes as an example. Is there anything other than the installing instructions that point to Mercedes? Good move to ask the owner of the folder.

Good point, but the dropbox folder is called "85 BENZ SEC" ....so it points to me that everything there is for a Merc.
Well... according to my latest reply a fix does not exist ;-)
I'll look at my software version to see what date I have - from memory it's already a January build, so will be interesting to see if this is later or if tech support just lazily gave you the latest build more in hope than expectation
The latest update file is so big it has to be a full android OS build, rather than a Canbus update, but I guess the problem could be caused in either place
@panagath I have a non Erisin clone unit as my test mule, do you want me to try an update on it before you attempt it? It might brick my HU as it's not Erisin, but I could give it a go at the weekend if I get a chance

Up to you. I can give it a go, but since I have done the de-pin of CAN-L I would have to take everything apart again to put it back to stock harness and see.
If I get any free time in the weekend I will give it a go.
My clone unit is running the same build 2024-01-12-2058 as the proposed software update and that unit has the bright light problem. I'll check my Erisin unit but I dont expect this new build to make any difference
We will have to show one of us it on the latest build to hopefully get them to look at other solutions

Good spot Andy. Can you then just try the "ZQ_UPDATE_CONFIG" file? Maybe that contains something that helps.
