991.2 GT3 will come with "Touring Package" option

I find it a bit strange since I know someone who got PDK/wing, but didn't want to argue the point. I don't gain any points by putting the sales manager on the spot.

If I did it I’d do it because I like the look. But I won’t do it because it seems poser to do so at this point because IMO the R stripes belong to the R. Plus the whole point of the car is stealth Q ship understated, under the radar subtlety.

I'm definitely thinking about it. I have one already picked out, not because I want to fool people into thinking I have an R, just because it looks so hot. Never been much for stickers, but this looks awesome to me. Not sure if I could actually do it though. Don't like my cars to call attention to me.
The local Bellevue dealer said that "everyone" was ordering manual/tourings and planning to put R stripes on them. He seemed to think this was fine.

Might even add them if I go non touring.

And I’m ok with that. I wanted an R and this is the next best thing.
I may go for racing yellow...I keep looking at the 911 T press photos and it looks good. I wish I could get that interior.
Or chicken out and go GT silver.

Trying to be an R? ...but isn't the R is just a GT3 Touring with an inferior motor and a magnesium roof

Actually it will be quite easy to distinguish between the GT3 touring and a 911R, even with the “R stripes” on both. The 911R will have the contoured roof and front hood, while the GT3 will just be flat. Unless the GT3 is extensively modified this will be a dead give away.

Here is a Guards Red one. Looks good, but I dont like the way that the rear lights blend in with the red paint work.

Since the entire point of the GT3 touring is to get the GT3 engine, suspension, and 6 speed manual, but in an inconspicuous car, I don’t see the point of a GT3 touring in any shade of red, orange, or yellow.
Might as well just get a regular winged GT3, and truly look badass in those bright colors.
Of course, by the same token I don’t see the point in ordering a winged GT3 in any shade of silver or gray, which is the same color as 40% of the cars on the road.
If you’re driving a winged GT3, it’s a fairly aggressive look, no reason to try (and fail) to neuter that with some version of battleship grey.

I know the front fascia is different but this one really looks like a GTS
I guess the R due to the roof and hood makes it look even better or maybe i just don’t like it in red
Hoping in person it looks way different than a GTS nothing wrong with a GTS but if i wanted a GTS i would just go buy a GTS
